Caleb and Emily Christiansen Prayer Letter: Staying Active for the LordThank you to everyone who has been praying for us. I am regularly humbled by the number of people who reach out to us saying that they are praying for us. Thank you for praying. It makes such a difference to us and all of the missionaries you pray for.

Emily and the baby are still progressing well. This is actually our first child that has been measuring above average in size. Baby Boy Christiansen should be born near the end of September, although Emily keeps saying that she is ready any time now. Emma and Lydia also keep impatiently asking when the baby will come out. Please continue to pray that the baby will continue to develop well and that labor and delivery will go smoothly as well.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for my brief trip back to Nigeria. It went well, and the next semester at the Bible college has started off well. We were able to hold an orientation breakfast and welcome the new students to the new semester. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to influence and help train this next generation of Nigerian pastors.

While missing our normal work in Nigeria, I have been glad to find other ways to stay active for the Lord. I have enjoyed helping my sending church with writing Sunday school lessons about missionaries through the years. I also had the opportunity to teach a brief soul-winning course for the young people in our church. I’ve also been going to churches in the Northeast to present our ministry in Nigeria. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my safety on these trips. I’ve seen enough accidents on the highway to never take safety for granted.

We have an exciting update about Harvest Baptist Church in Adamawa State. I mentioned in our last prayer letter that the church was looking for land for a permanent church building. Praise the Lord, after pursuing a couple of dead ends, they were able to find a good plot of land near where they are currently meeting, and we were able to help them purchase that property. We believe this is such a huge step towards spreading the Gospel and starting more churches in northern, Muslim-dominated Nigeria. Please continue to pray, as the church will seek to build an auditorium and parsonage on this land.

As always, thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We work to be faithful laborers and investments working to serve Christ, that fruit may abound to your account.

That all the world may know,

Caleb Christiansen
