LATEST
We are rejoicing that we arrived back in Uganda on October 14. We took some weeks to get resettled in our house, but for the first three weeks, we could not go anywhere because of expired papers for our truck. But happily, after five years of getting temporary paperwork, we now have a permanent vehicle registration on our truck. Yea!
Then we have been getting things ready for Teen Camp in January. We hope to bring about 50 teens from 4 churches we work with in Kampala. The main church we are working in is doing fine, and they are still going soul winning every week.
I had an interesting story while out soul winning two weeks ago. We came across a young man, Isaac, while visiting an ice cream shop. 😊 He said he was already born again. As usual, I do not quickly accept that answer because so many say they are born again, but they really don’t know what that means.
So, I asked him, “Are you really born again, or is it a fake born again?” He looked puzzled, so I asked further, “If you sin and die tomorrow, will you still go to Heaven?” He didn’t know, so his friend jokingly, but truthfully, announced that he had the fake salvation. Well, after preaching for quite a while longer, he received the real born-again salvation that comes from Jesus and not based upon our works. He now rejoices that he can never lose it.
Please pray that I can get down to Burundi quickly. Last week, the radio station was hit by lightning, and it is now off the air. I think the transmitter got burned. We have a backup transmitter, but before installing it, I want to greatly add to the lightning protection so it does not happen again. Thank you for all of your prayers.
In His service,
Gregg, Angela, Virginia, Micah, and Zachery Schoof
