On March 11, 2015, Hyles-Anderson College of West Africa, our Bible college, held commencement exercises. I wish you could have been here for the service. Please let me introduce you to these graduates:
• Frederick Addo-Tettey: Brother Addo-Tettey was saved at the age of eight in the village of Adonkwanta in the Eastern Region. Now, at the age of 68, he travels here every month from Accra in order to further his studies.
• James Adjabeng: On August 6, 2006, James called upon Jesus for salvation when he realized his good works could not save him. Brother James serves our church on a bus route and in his Sunday school class.
• Nicholas Ansah: Brother Nicholas was saved in 1994 while in Kumasi learning carpentry work. He first heard of our college during our pastors’ conference. Right now he serves as an associate pastor in Takoradi.
• Otchere Boachie: Otchere saw our Bible college advertised on our church billboard. When he came to enroll in our college, his first lesson was a Gospel presentation, after which he got saved! Now Otchere is a bus captain and productive soul winner in our church.
• James Boadu: James walked the aisle and received Christ the first Sunday he came to our church. James’ desire is to start a church in his home village.
• Isaac Ebo Otwey: American missionary Daniel Mapes won Brother Otwey to Christ 18 years ago. He serves as senior pastor of New Life Baptist Church in Apam; he is also a part-time faculty member for us.
• John Jantuah: Brother Jantuah was saved 35 years ago. He is another one of our Bible college students who faithfully travels here each month for college classes. Right now he serves in his church teaching Sunday school and preaching. He has a desire to plant churches in the villages of Accra.
• Solomon Lamptey: Brother Solomon first heard about our Bible college from his pastor in Accra. Solomon testifies that what he has learned in our Bible college has increased the opportunities for him in the ministry. He was recently asked to be the lead pastor of the Berean Baptist Church of Weijah, Accra.
• Samuel Larbi-Eck: Bro. Eck and Bro. Lamptey are from the same church. In March 2014, Brother Eck was traveling here when his bus was involved in a serious crash. Brother Eck’s life was spared. After just a few months’ recovery, Brother Eck once again enrolled in our college and has now graduated.
• Yawo Kpelevi: Yawo is from Togo. Nineteen years ago, one of his high school teachers in Togo preached the Gospel to him, and he got saved. He heard about our Bible college through our pastors’ conference in 2010. He currently serves at the senior pastor of Jesus Saves Baptist Church in Adowsu, Eastern Region.
