Greetings from Ghana! We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas. We enjoyed celebrating these holidays with the other families that are a part of our mission team.
Trip to Liberia
In November I was able to take a trip to Liberia with Pastor Speer. We went to see the church started by our Bible college graduate, George Menyon, and also to conduct a two-day soul- winning workshop for pastors and church workers. We were also able to spend some time with 5 of our college graduates who are also in Liberia; 3 of these men are now pastoring.
Over 40 men came to our two-day soul-winning workshop. Most of these men were pastors. Pastor Speer was able to teach for several hours on soul winning, and it was encouraging to see the desire to learn and the passion that these men had. They want us to come back every year.
Fundamental Baptist Church of Barekuma
December 31 was both a happy day and a sad day for our church. One of our men, Steven Gyau, who had been fighting cancer for some time, passed away at the age of 66 years. I was able to win Steven and his wife Mary to Christ in May of 2012. Steven got baptized two months later. I am so glad that we were able to win Steven to Christ before he died.
Someone has offered to sell us a half acre of land in a very good location on the main road about a tenth of a mile before entering Barekuma. The price is GH5,000 cedis (about US$2,500). Please pray that God would give us clear direction in this matter and that He would provide the needed funds if this is the land He would have us to buy.
Thank you for your prayers and for partnering with us!
In Christ,
Charles, Lindsey, and Josiah Osgood
