Thank you so much for your prayers for us over these last several weeks! The Lord has allowed us to be a part of many exciting events, and it is exciting to share these highlights!
At the end of October, Cassandra and I were able to travel to Cochabamba, Bolivia, to be with our missionary, Gustavo Muñoz, for his church’s second anniversary. He and his wife were sent out from our church just over two years ago. Several folks accepted Christ on the trip, and it was great to see a full church on Sunday. It was so cool to share with our church people what their own missionary is doing the following Sunday.
On November 1 every year, the country of Peru, as well as most Latin American countries, celebrate the Day of the Dead. Families will get together and visit the grave of a loved one. They will spend the entire day at the grave and share a meal; Catholics will oftentimes pay to have a priest pray for a dead loved one. Near our church is one of the world’s largest cemeteries, with over a million graves. Every year, our church plans a large event where we go to the cemetery and tell people about Jesus. This year, 43 people went out from our church, and 86 people made a profession of faith in Christ! One of our young men led his first soul to Christ.
Shortly after, Cassandra had a Ladies’ Meeting, and we had over 40 ladies present. It was exciting to see many young Christians growing and getting involved.
Peru doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but every year, our church has a big event on the Sunday before. We always have turkey, and the ladies make Thanksgiving dishes. Our church had a big day, with several adult visitors and people accepting Christ.
We have several prayer requests! Cassandra continues to teach in the Christian school, and another semester of the Bible institute is coming to a close. We are preparing at our church for our Christmas Program on Sunday, December 14. Please pray for this day to go well! We are renting a tent and planning to hold services outside. Last year, we had 215 people in attendance. We are praying for the Lord to work this year!
Cassandra and I are planning to return to the States for a few weeks at the end of the year. I have more doctor’s appointments, and we will see family for Christmas. We will be returning to Peru in January, just in time for our Vacation Bible School.
The year 2026 is looking great, with several trips planned to the jungle and around the country. Please pray for God’s wisdom and guidance. We’re looking forward to updating you again soon with all the Lord is doing. Thank you all!
God bless you,
Zach and Cassandra Foust
