Team Ghana Update: Medical Clinics and Our Newest Team MemberMedical Clinics

Earlier this month, the Lord opened the doors for us to hold seven days of medical and vision clinics as an evangelistic outreach. We partnered once again with Dr. Greg Waller, his wife Linda, and their medical team from Truth for Today Medical Missions. The first clinic was held for our church in Bohyen. The clinics on the other days were held on our bus-route areas of Amanfrom, Asuofua, Achiase, and Adankwame.

At these clinics, the people of the community got to see a doctor and were given free prescriptions for their ailments. In addition, we ran a vision clinic, where we partnered with some local optometrists so that people coming for the clinic could get their eyes checked and be fitted for used glasses. Every person who came for medical help or help with their vision was dealt with one-on-one by a soul winner. Over 50 soul winners helped us during the week; most were from our church, but some of our daughter-church pastors and workers also came to assist.

For the week, we saw over 2,100 patients. Their hearts were open to the Gospel because someone had helped them with a physical need, whether with medical or with vision, and we are praising the Lord that by the end of the week, 1,652 people had put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

Dr. Waller called these results “historic.” Everyone who is reading this letter and has prayed for or given towards the work here in Ghana had a part in this great week. We have already had several visitors as a result of the clinics. That first Sunday after the clinics, an adult man, 2 ladies, and a teenager visited. Yesterday, a man, a lady, and 2 children came; the man was baptized. Please pray that we would be able to follow up on many more of these new prospects, that they would grow in grace, and that many would become disciples of Christ and call our church their home.

A New Team Member

In September of last year, Abigail Lenze traveled on the FBMI missions trip with a team of 15 people who came to assist in last year’s vision clinics. During that trip, the Lord touched Abby’s heart to return to Ghana as a missionary. After being commissioned by FBMI on July 29, 2025, she returned and served at our church from July through October. While here, she spent much time working in our Christian school, as well as going soul winning and helping conduct Bible Clubs. Now she is back in the States raising support so that she can return and serve here full-time. Please pray for God to provide her needs and to guide and direct her steps. If you are interested in supporting Miss Lenze or having her present her work in your church, please contact her by email at abigail.lenze@fbmi.org or on her cell at (417) 955-0407.
