Wes and Cynthia Palla Prayer Letter: Too Many Wonderful Things to ShareThis is one of those times when you love to write a prayer letter because the Lord has been doing so many wonderful things—too many to share, if I’m honest. Thank you so much for each time you have prayed for us; clearly, it has made a difference.

In August, we held our 2nd Annual Marriage Retreat, and we had a wonderful time. The number of couples doubled from last year, and we were also able to pay the way for a couple of Brazilian pastors to be able to take part this time around. They were immensely grateful, and both said that they plan to bring some folks from their congregations next year.

On September 1, Cynthia and I celebrated 18 years of wedded bliss. I do not have adequate words to describe how blessed I am and how much of a joy it has been to go through these last 18 years with her by my side. Truly, I am a rich man.

On the 14th, we marked our church’s 5th anniversary, and what a day it was! Praise the Lord, it didn’t rain, because we had to put almost 30 chairs outside. There was nowhere else to put people in the auditorium. We had over 160 people in attendance, with 20 of those being first-time visitors. We had at least a dozen salvation decisions, and we have already welcomed several back for their second visit. It was a special moment to watch our church folk work so hard and also work so well together to pull the day off. Everything flowed smoothly, and everyone left rejoicing at what God had done.

We now head into a very, very busy season of ministry: our Spring Campaign, a missions trip into the interior, big days, Missions Conferences, and a Christmas outreach event at the beginning of December. We covet your prayers for God’s blessing and open doors.
Also, as some of you may recall, we are actively trying to purchase property for our main church here in Salvador. It has been five years since we arrived here, and our growth necessitates a change. We have made a short video that explains the need, where we are, and how you can help us. This is a big deal! We need everyone who can to get involved. If you would like to check out this opportunity, click the link to watch it (https://tinyurl.com/Church-property). Above all, we covet your prayers.

Thank you for holding the rope, thank you for loving Brazil, and thank you for your commitment to the Great Commission.

Declaring His glory,

Wesley Palla
