God’s Truck
We left off our last letter where the truck was needing to be fixed after the breakdown. We were unable to get it running properly, so we had to leave it in West Virginia. Pastor Cochran has been incredibly gracious to allow us to borrow one of their church vans while we continue to travel to meetings. I returned after a few other meetings we had, but I was still having trouble with the injectors. Please pray about this specific issue; pray that God would continue to be glorified in it and that we would be able to fix the problem—but here is the good news from the breakdown! During the time I was working on the truck, I was able to lead three souls to Christ!
Vacation Bible School
It was a blessing to be able to have a part in Highland Hills Baptist Church’s VBS week. I led the teen class each night, and we saw two girls make a profession of faith. Pray for them to continue to learn and grow in the Lord. During the time in Michigan, I was able to help the church with a few issues they had with their van. We praise God that I was able to fix all of the problems, and now it is being used every week to bring families to church.
North Carolina
We traveled down to Harvest Baptist Church to help look at their buses and be at their Faith Promise conference. I found a broken brake line on one bus and a broken U-joint on another bus. Pray for them to be able to get those fixed so the buses there can keep going! In addition, we all enjoyed cleaning one of the buses together. Unfortunately, sickness kept us from some of the meetings, but we were able to teach the kids’ class, and Lauretta was able to help with music on Sunday morning.
Maryland
I was able to help Granite Baptist Church with a few of their buses. They were having issues with shifting on one of their buses and received a diagnosis that they would need a new transmission. I was able to service the transmission and found that only the wiring needed to be fixed! I worked on their van as well and got it in order. We are grateful to be used by the Lord to help the church save money.
Iron Sharpeneth Iron
I had the opportunity to go to the Iron Sharpeneth Iron Bible Conference. I enjoyed the messages from R.B. Ouellette, and I got to encourage others about the bus ministry. I was able to see the knife-making process and witness how it can be used to reach many people across America.
