Garry and Mindy Tingson Prayer Letter: From the Print Shop to the Pulpit--God Is at WorkHeading into July has been a busy but exciting time as our church gears up for our Leadership Conference in 2025. It’s been a real honour to lend a hand with working bees, video productions, and a few last-minute projects. Mindy and I were also able to help out with the media team, taking photos and videos throughout the week.

It was such a blessing to see Bro. Andrew Steers again; he had a big influence on my decision to head over to the States for Bible college. He was a great encouragement as he preached during our combined adult Sunday school. The Lord really moved, especially with the Kids’ Conference running alongside the main sessions. We praise God that four young ones put their faith in Christ — what a powerful way to kick off the second half of the year!

The Lord has opened up a number of opportunities to serve Him over the past couple of months. I’ve been spending most of my weekdays volunteering at the print shop, where we’ve been able to produce around 62,000 tracts that will be distributed across Australia. Along with that, we’ve printed prayer cards, flyers, and books for various churches. It’s been a real privilege to be a part of it all.

It’s always a joy to preach in our Impact Kids group. I recently spoke on the topic of being courageous like Daniel, which ties in with our church’s theme for the year. At high school chapel, I preached on being “Meet for the Master’s Use.” We’ve also had the chance to regularly support Bro. Jim and Becky Heberle with their church plant in Gympie, about two hours north. I had the opportunity to preach there on how God uses people in small towns. While there, I met a man named Darrell; he’s bound to a wheelchair, but faithfully shares the Gospel with everyone he meets. He brought his carer along to church as a first-time visitor, and she heard the Gospel. Please join us in praying that the Lord would continue to work in her heart.

We’re also thankful for friendships in the mission field. A friend of mine, Go Oishi from Japan, called one day, asking if I knew any solid churches in Brisbane. I said, “Well, mate, we’re actually in Brisbane!” One of his young men had just moved here to study at university. A preacher friend and I met up with him over dinner, and we were able to get him along to church the very next day. Please continue to pray that Joseph would keep growing in God’s grace.

We’ve had a couple of birthday celebrations recently — Isla turned three, and Gwen turned nine. We had been praying that Gwen would one day understand what Jesus did for her on the Cross, and the day after her birthday, Mindy was able to lead her to the Lord. Gwen placed her trust in Christ as her personal Saviour, and now she has her spiritual birthday right after her physical one. What a joy it was to baptise her the following Sunday alongside two others also getting baptised. That same Sunday, a young man also gave his heart to Jesus — what a day of rejoicing!

Please continue to pray for our ministry here in Australia. There’s so much more the Lord is doing behind the scenes, and we’re truly grateful to be a part of it. Please pray for our church’s anniversary service coming up on the 31st of August. We’re praying that souls would be saved. Also, please keep the print shop (SBP) and Crossroads Baptist Church in Gympie in your prayers as well.

Thanks again for your faithful prayers and support. It means more than we can say.

Your servant in Christ,

Garry Tingson
