The month of July has been busy with finishing up a passport renewal for immigration requirements. We are starting to prepare to go back home to the Philippines in September. We want to thank the Lord and praise Him for His safety and protection during our brief visit with family here in the U.S.
Our church in the Philippines is still reaching souls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Recently, they conducted our yearly Vacation Bible School. Many of our church members took time off from work in the mornings in order to help. We give the Lord all of the glory for the over 70 children who came and for the 12 children who called on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Only eternity will reveal the impact these ministries have had on the lives of these little ones.
During the summer break, some of our young people in the church were able to have music lessons. It is such a blessing to see our young adults give of their time and energy to teach the next batch of young people. We try to instill in them the principles for the right kind of music that will honor the Lord, as well as the practical teaching of instruments. This year was more expansive than others, with lessons in piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, flute, and cello! It is our goal to encourage these skills and allow them to help with the church’s music program.
Family Baptist Church, the third church we started, wanted some help with soul winning and tract distribution. We thank the Lord for the many opportunities to serve Him. Some of our members were able to give of their time and effort to help. The Tract Attack was a success, with over 1,000 tracts handed out on a single Saturday. Many were able to help go soul winning during this time as well, although the main focus was to saturate the immediate area of the church with the Gospel through tracts. We do not know how the Lord will work in the hearts of the people who received these Gospel tracts, but the Lord promises that His Word will not return void.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we share the Gospel in the Philippines.
