Mshama and Martha Kinyonga Prayer Letter: Ministry UpdateWe can’t believe that it’s July already. Summer has been great so far, and we are grateful for the time off to be with our kids a little more. Thank you all for your continued prayers and for each email, text, call, etc. We feel so spoiled, and we are so grateful not only to continue to be your representatives in Tanzania, but also to be able to call you our friends.

Praise Update for Martha

We went to the doctor on July 2 to review her CT scan results; and, praise the Lord, the cancer has reduced 50% in the liver. The blood clots are also shrinking. We are so thankful that the cancer didn’t spread anywhere else and that God is faithful. We are in a period the doctors call “wait and see.” They cannot say Martha is cancer-free or in remission yet, but it is headed in the right direction. She will have another scan in three months. Thank you all for praying and begging God to heal Martha. We appreciate it. Please continue to pray, as we would like this cancer to be gone completely.

Ministry Update

The ministry in Tanzania is still going strong. Our folks were able to finish our new discipleship classroom. The windows and door are now complete, so they have been meeting in there for a week or so now. God continues to add to His church, as we have visitors each week, with salvations and baptisms as well. I leave to head back on July 19. I will be staying there until September 5. There are plenty of things that we can accomplish, with God’s help, while I’m there. I would like to have a Men’s Meeting and a Ladies’ Meeting, as well as complete a few building projects. Please pray that these details can be worked out and that folks can be saved, as well as encouraged.

Last week, we had our first service in Kiegea. There were 143 in attendance. They will continue to meet on Tuesdays for their midweek service, and we will have a bus for them to come on Sundays. Pray that one day, one of our men will be called to go full-time out there.
Out in another one of our village churches in Gonja, 3 young men trusted Christ. They didn’t want to wait until Sunday to be baptized, so there in the river, they all followed the Lord in believer’s baptism.

Prayer Requests

• For Martha’s cancer to continue to disappear
• For safety as I travel back to Tanzania
• For the details to work out for our Men’s/Ladies’ Meeting
• For our people to continue to grow and mature in the Lord

We thank you again for all of your love and support. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

For His glory,

Mshama, Martha, Esther, Benjamin, Rachel, & Sarah Kinyonga
