Mark and Kim Palmani Prayer Letter: New MinistryThe months of October and November are typhoon season here in the Philippines. We have been hit six times in these two months. We praise the Lord for His safety and protection. The last typhoon was a Catergory 5, yet as it came closer, it slowed to a Category 3. This slowed the winds and rain, making it a less dangerous storm.

The arrow on the right points to the furthermost island in the Philippines. There are 15,000 people who live on the island of Batanes. This island is in the heart of typhoon alley. There is only one church on this island. We have a couple from our church who will be going to start a church there, Lord willing, in December of 2025. Ryan and Angel are currently raising support here in the Philippines as local missionaries. Please pray for this young couple. Angel is expecting their first child and is experiencing complications due to an ovarian cyst.

A new ministry was started by our church men while we were in the States last year. Several of the men who own motorcycles got together to ride once a month. They started passing out tracts when they went. They ride farther out than our normal visitation areas. If a church member gives them an address, this group will ride out and pass out tracts in the area, while a soul winner finds the address to go share the Gospel. They have gone as far as three hours away. As a result, siblings, friends, parents, and even grandparents have been saved!

Our pianist, Sister Kenneth, asked the motorcycle riders to visit her family. They have a Jehovah’s Witness background, and she has tried for years to witness to her family. One Saturday, the “motorcade” rode out, and a soul winner led her father, grandmother, and three other family members to the Lord. A month later, there was a death in the family, and the father and grandmother specifically requested that our church come and share the Gospel with the rest of the family. Several others received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour!
