I write this newsletter on the evening of the American Thanksgiving! May I rejoice again in gratitude for each of you by using the Apostle Paul’s words to the believers in Philippi, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” (Philippians 1:3)
The last few months have been busy and blessed months for us here as we continue to partner with you in serving the Lord here in London, Ontario. I would like to take this moment to thank those of you who took time to pray for the major dental surgery my wife had at the end of August. Her surgery was successful, and her healing and adjusting have been coming along well now. Thank you also to those of you who have taken the time to pray for my knee issues. Though not pain-free, I am much more mobile than I was for a bit, and I am thankful for each step and the ability to walk again without significant pain. Thank you for your prayers!
As the month of September came and my wife was mending from her recent procedures, we held our annual Ladies’ Fall Jubilee. There were approximately 70 ladies in attendance from 7 Ontario churches and 1 Quebec church. My wife was nervous as to whether she would be strong enough and recovered enough after her surgery to conduct, moderate, and speak at the ladies’ meeting. But God gave her that strength, and she did a wonderful job. I am so thankful for the faithful and wonderful wife the Lord has allowed me to serve Him with through all these years!
October led us into our church’s 27th Anniversary Month! We had a blessed Anniversary Sunday of services and a meal on the grounds, which we refer to as our Round-Up Sunday. God blessed us with many victories and direct answers to prayer, which included two precious souls being saved and one young person following the Lord in believer’s baptism that day!
In October, we were also blessed to have our two married children and their families join us for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada!
At the end of October, we went up to Peterborough, Ontario, where a fellow pastor and church are providing New Testaments for distribution here in the province of Ontario. We were blessed by the meeting and gifted over 2,500 New Testaments to use in our soul-winning and distribution efforts. For these blessings and provision, we are thankful!
November led us into preparation for our 25th Annual Youth Conference! We just conducted that last weekend and were blessed of God to have 9 churches represented, with the approximate totals of 120 present, 5 messages of challenge preached from God’s Word, and 12 new decisions to the Covenant of Purity! For this also, we are thankful! To God be all the glory for the great things He hath done!
We are thankful to all of you for your love, prayers, and support, which help us to continue to serve our Lord here in London, Ontario, Canada! Thank you!
