Hello, everyone. The year 2024 has gone by so fast. It seems like yesterday when we put away last year’s Christmas decorations, but now it is time to bring them out again. So much has happened this year, and we are so thankful for your prayers and faithful support! Thank you! So far for this year, we have had 80 salvation decisions, 93 first-time visitors in church, and 9 baptisms. We have had 102 baptised since coming to the Northwest of England!
Our Christmas in England always includes a Children’s Nativity and a Carol Service, with Scripture readings and traditional hymns and carols. Many family members and friends will attend our church just for this service. Our church also has a special family Christmas Day service. The church here continues to grow. We are looking forward to a wonderful Christmas together. All is well, thanks to God blessing your involvement.
What can we say about 2024? I turned 60 years old. We attended the graduation and then wedding of our youngest son Jeremy and his bride Ashley. My mother has improved and is back to herself as she enjoys her retirement years at an adult community. Daniel and family have raised all their financial support and plan to arrive in April 2025. Please continue to pray for Rachel and the safe delivery of our second grandchild.
But There Is More . . .
There is a special joy to go out soul winning and see other believers from our community witnessing for our Lord Jesus Christ. I like what Paul said in Philippians 1:18, “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.” It seems like we are having an influence over here from the Christian community. I remember not long ago when it would be just us out there witnessing and giving out tracts on Saturday. Now it can be as many as 30 out in the center of the city! Amen!
Solt Family Blessings
Jeremy and Ashley are adjusting to their ministries in the church in Woburn, Massachusetts. He is excited to have a church choir to work with for Christmas. Please pray for their future serving Christ together. Josh is coming for a quick visit during Thanksgiving. Josh and I will have an early Christmas present to explore Rome for two days. We ask God for safety and wisdom for this trip. And then it will just be the two of us for Christmas. By the time all the church activities are finished, we will welcome the quiet!
Wherever you are for Christmas this year, we pray that God will be in the very center of all you do as you celebrate the birth of our precious Saviour. May you be blessed and richly rewarded for living to please your King. A Very Happy Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
Yours for souls,
The Solt Family
