Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Faithfully Serving in the Lord's WorkIt’s hard to believe that September has already come and gone. There was not a lot to report this month, but we kept on faithfully serving in the Lord’s work here in Kenya, East Africa.

Our church family here at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Acacia keeps on growing, both physically and spiritually! We have had several new visitors attend week after week. We had two of our adults, who have faithfully been attending church, come forward to obey the Lord in believer’s baptism. We also had two more teenagers come to put their trust in Jesus Christ alone!

Please continue to pray for several of our teenagers, as they have been studying hard week after week on how to effectively share the Gospel with others. It has been a blessing to see their growth, and we are hoping that next month they will be ready to start putting to practice what they have learned.

We also have a few of our adults who will be graduating from our discipleship class next month. Please be in prayer for the believers here at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Acacia.

Lastly, please pray for the church and our family, as we will be back in the U.S. for a short furlough from November 27, 2024, through January 2, 2025. As always, thank you for your faithful prayers and support.

Your co-laborers for lost souls across East Africa,

Brandon and Ali Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Faithfully Serving in the Lord's WorkBefore my father left me, I didn’t understand salvation. The time came when my father wanted to find another wife; then he decided to leave me with my mother and my siblings. We suffered a lot of the time, but everything happened for a reason. I didn’t have any other choice but to turn back to God and to be a child of God.

Then I started going to church near our home even though they were not preaching that much good. Benita came and told me to join her at her church. Then I decided to join her at her church. One day when I came, I saw the pastor who preached more about salvation. Then after realizing about salvation, I decide to turn out of my sin and to be called a child of God. Because God came for our sin, not for us to do good. The Bible tells us that when one sinner turns back to Christ, the angels in Heaven rejoice—not for those who do good but for those who repent and turn out of their sin. After being taught all of that, I decided to understand all about salvation and to be washed again and to be called a child of God. Because not by the
works of righteousness, but according to His mercy, He saved us by the washing of regeneration.

He is the ruler of all things in Heaven and earth. Now I know more about salvation, and now by believing, we are called children of God. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

I really thank God for what He is doing in my ministry! Last month, I witnessed two new souls receiving Christ as their personal Saviour, and I have baptized them. Now they are saved and serving. The number of souls is growing in our Bible study.

Thank you,

Pastor Ambrose

During this last month, we went out soul winning for 4 days and met a total of 120 people. I’m pleased to report that 75 made professions of faith. On the following Sunday morning, we also witnessed 10 people saved in the church. Next Sunday, we shall baptize these 10 people.

God is good. God has opened the way, and we’re finishing up the church building. Thank you to Bro. Peter Morris (Team Leader) and all those who gave to help finish up the church building.

Thank you,

Pastor Gilbert

The ministry here in my area has been growing slowly for the last three months. Glory be to God, for there are three who joined us, and some seem to be developing interest. Please continue to pray for the Lord’s work here in the Bomet region of Kenya.

Thank you,

Pastor William
