Team Philippines Update: More of God's GoodnessGreetings! God has been so good! We are so blessed to be able to serve the Lord in such a place and at such a time. It is truly exciting to be part of what God is doing here in Dumaguete City, Philippines.

We’ve been experiencing great growth this year in our church, especially in the adult services. We are regularly at capacity on Sunday mornings and praying that the Lord will soon open a door for us to have property and a building of our own—it will have to be the Lord’s doing. To date in 2024, we have had 426 public professions of faith in our services and 158 believers baptized. Amen!

We just had an incredible VBS in June. Our workers conducted 31 separate meetings Monday through Thursday throughout the mornings. Some routes had as many as 4 meetings each morning. This puts our VBS right outside many children’s homes, where the parents can observe our interaction with their children, gaining their trust, as well as within earshot of hearing the Gospel. All in all, nearly 900 individual children were a part of VBS. On Friday, we brought as many as we could to the church for the finale; we had 251 children that morning. For the week, 399 souls were saved through our VBS. Praise the Lord for the potential families, some of whom are already attending!

Our next big event is our Youth Rally, July 16-18. Our theme is “With God and Man, Growing Like Jesus,” taken from Luke 2:52 and connected to the program we developed for our youth back in 2018, “God & Man.” This has been a tremendous help in developing a walk with God among our young people. On Sunday afternoons, there is nothing like seeing and listening to young people comfortably converse about spiritual things concerning their walk with God during the week. We’ve developed an app to aid with this, and it is available at https://www.godandman.app. Please pray for our Youth Rally. Other churches will be joining us, and we expect great decisions again this year, as we pack 13 messages by 5 preachers into less than 48 hours.

We had the joy of having Brittany and Delaney come for a visit with three of their friends, all Hyles-Anderson graduates except for Delany, who just finished her first year. They came for the week of VBS, and it was exciting to see them jump in and get involved; I think it was mutually beneficial. We are happy that Delaney was able to extend her stay until August. Allyson and Joshua will be visiting us in August with our two granddaughters; we can’t wait to be able to hold them for the first time.

Soul winning is exciting in Dumaguete; each and every week, hundreds of souls are being saved. Many of our church members are sharing their soul-winning experiences through our soul-winning app (https://www.soulwinning.app). This helps with follow-up and allows us to promote soul winning using their photos throughout the month. Many Thursday evenings, we have over 100 souls saved in about an hour’s time through the great number of soul winners who go out.

Our FM radio ministry, combined with our online radio app, is having a great impact. Several times a day, the Gospel is being presented over the air, as well as Christ-honoring music and other Bible teaching. We keep coming across people who are listening. Please pray that we will see a great harvest here in Dumaguete from the seed of the Word of God being planted around the clock. You can tune in through https://ibcd.theanchor.app. If your church is interested in having an online radio station with an app that practically runs itself, please contact me. I’ve developed this to be used by other ministries. This has been one of the greatest blessings and helps in our church. We could use support for this, as we help other churches here make use of it.

Recently, one of our young ladies got into a pedicab (public transportation) and asked to be dropped off at International Baptist Church. The Catholic nun who was already in the vehicle said, “International Baptist Church? The Anchor Radio? We listen to that!” Praise the Lord, they are hearing truth!

We just had our graduation services this past Sunday afternoon. Seven graduated from high school through our homeschooling ministry, including our son Elliot, and all will be starting Bible college. We had two new graduates from Hyles-Anderson College of the Philippines. Please pray for these as they continue in the will of God.

We had another wedding in June; Airo Gonzaga (staff) married Honey Saradat. We have another wedding in July for Theo Amante (staff) and Jeciel Anasario (staff). God has truly blessed us with some faithful and hard workers. I am excited for the youth of our church who are watching these people date and marry properly, as well as the new growing families that are great examples to the truth that marriage is honorable.

I can’t imagine life without the church. We are so thankful that we can have a local church here in Dumaguete to help meet the needs of this area and beyond. Come visit and see what God is doing here.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support,

Randy DeMoville
