What a wonderful time to be serving the Lord! We have continued traveling across the country on deputation, driving through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Missouri for services in seven of those states during this time. God did allow us to visit a few locations, such as the Grand Canyon and Tonto Natural Bridge in Arizona, for which we stand in awe of His mighty handiwork! The Pacific Ocean coastline was also quite beautiful on our drive back south from Northern California.
God has blessed us with our support, and after one year since our first deputation meeting, our support level is right at 50% now, with several churches expected to begin supporting us in the near future! We have also been able to participate in various church outreach programs, and the Lord has blessed, allowing my wife and me to each lead several people to Christ this year. Some of them expressed interest in coming to church, so we were able to give their contact information to the local church. We participated in four Missions Conferences and in many individual church presentations and services. I was also able to speak for chapel at two different Christian schools and speak to the junior high teens at a winter camp.
Since my children have “given up” their youth group and its activities while we are on deputation, we look for opportunities where they can be involved with children near their ages, and the Lord has allowed us to attend a Teen Winter Camp in California, a Youth Conference in Arizona, and a few smaller activities, including being able to participate in the Teen Soul-Winning outreach ministries of several churches. I thank all of you who have reached out to our children with gifts of time, items, snacks, money, and just plain love. I know that deputation has been hard on them in many ways, as we have had to continue their schooling while on the road. Please pray that they will not get overly discouraged. We are planning to go to a Family Camp this June, which I think that we will all enjoy. We are still raising the needed funds of $1,200 for our entire family, so if anyone would like to help with this, it would be a blessing.
We are booking meetings from August forward, and we still have a few dates to fill in before then, but God has been good in this area. Please pray that God will direct us to the churches with which He would have us partner. Please continue to pray for our traveling safety. Our van is beginning to show its 190,000-plus miles now, with a couple of costly repairs and a new set of tires, so we are now praying that God will provide us with a newer and larger vehicle. Please pray with us that God will provide for this need. We pray regularly for all of the churches with whom we have had the privilege to meet on deputation, and we trust that you are praying for us!
Sincerely,
R. Daniel Williams and Family to the Philippines
All for Christ!
