I Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” I pray that when you receive this letter, you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing very well and would like to thank you so much for being a part of this ministry.
Recently, I had a wonderful soul-winning experience. As I was coming out of the post office, a lady by the name of Lucy asked me if I was an attorney. I told her that I was not an attorney; I was a preacher. She immediately started sharing with me everything she was going through, including the recent loss of her husband, and asked me to pray for her. Immediately, she was called into the post office, so I prayed for her. I left her a tract with my phone number on it and asked her to please call me because I felt the need to witness to her. To my surprise, Lucy called me the next day. After about 30 minutes on the phone, I was able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and Lucy was sweetly saved. Several days later, she called again, thanking me for sharing the plan of salvation with her.
A man by the name of Manuel started coming to church with one of our church families. The following Saturday, I went by his home to ask him if he knew for sure he was saved and on his way to Heaven. As sincerely as he possibly could, he said that he wasn’t sure. I was able to open up my New Testament, and Manuel asked Jesus to be his personal Saviour.
Our reconstruction is moving along full speed ahead. Our prayer is that our building will be completed and dedicated to the Lord during our church anniversary, which is in mid-April. Please pray that we can complete all the final details to the building.
Our new governor has given us the green light to reopen our school in March. We are very thankful that we will be able to have some normalcy for our students.
PRAYER REQUESTS
• PRAY for our families to remain healthy.
• PRAY for our Spring Program.
• PRAY for our reconstruction to be completed.
May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you so much for loving, praying, and faithfully supporting our family and ministry here in Puerto Rico. God bless you.
In Christ,
Luis M. Martinez
