Health Update
We so appreciate your prayers and your get well, birthday, and anniversary cards and texts. God worked in a wonderful way. I’m back to working on buses. Praise our dear Lord! Since the middle of September, we have been able to help fix buses in 10 churches, including our own First Baptist Church.
As we share the Gospel and give out tracts, we hear often that they rode the church bus when they were young and accepted Jesus as their Saviour and that they would like to have their children ride a bus to Sunday school again. Recently, we purchased a mattress for our motor home. I shared the Gospel with Alex, the clerk. He sweetly trusted Christ, and he told me that years before, he had ridden a bus to the First Baptist Church of Hammond. He even remembered his bus captain’s name—Bob.
Family News
Our granddaughter Emily and Hans Mortensen gave us our second great-grandchild, Lewis Charles, born on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Great Falls, Montana. He is Darrin and Beth Highfill’s second grandchild, and they have two more coming soon.
Our daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Gregg Schoof, and three of their children just left to return to Uganda. They were here on furlough for six months. Their three older children are students at Hyles-Anderson College. The Lord willing, the other three will be coming to the college in the fall of 2026, all at the same time. Talk about empty-nesters—that will be quite different for Mom and Dad!
Our Gratitude
We are thankful for each of your prayers and for those of you who are our supporters. Thank you for partnering with us to reach many children and adults for the Lord Jesus Christ! We are praying for you and your ministries as well. We so appreciate you!
Prayer Requests
(1) Pray for the Marco Hannel family; they are on deputation to be church bus mechanic missionaries. They should be on the road full-time by early next year.
(2) Pray for the six or seven other church bus mechanics who are working toward becoming bus ministry missionaries.
(3) Pray for churches to increase their bus ministry outreach. “. . . Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” [Luke 14:23] “. . . call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed . . . .” [Luke 14:13-14]
(4) Pray for our health and safety as we travel to reach the lost and encourage the pastors and bus workers.
Yours for souls,
Warren & Jary Lynn Storm
