We invite you to rejoice with us in God’s manifold blessings upon our churches. Since our last letter, hundreds have been saved through our ministries, and 132 people have followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. It is a joy to see more of our people in our soul-winning ministry, our music ministry, and our outreach ministries.
God is abundantly blessing our open-air meetings. For our last meeting, I took a vanload of people with me to a needy area of our city. After about an hour and a half of announcing our reunion, 250 people came to attend. Through this ministry, we obtain many church prospects, and it allows us to scout out areas for new routes and new church plants. Matthew 9:36 states: “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” Jesus is still moved with compassion when He sees the multitudes with no shepherd.
“And the lord said unto his servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14:23) Every Saturday afternoon, I take a group of soul winners with the express purpose of winning souls and bringing them to the evening service. During the invitation, they are dealt with by our altar workers to confirm their salvation decisions and to make a public profession of faith in Christ.
On a recent Sunday evening, we had 16 visitors in the service, 12 of whom I brought in the van and a family of 4 who followed us to the church in their truck. All of them made a public profession of faith in Christ, and 4 of them were baptized. We realize we are sitting on a spiritual gold mine here, and our earnest, sincere prayer is that the Lord would touch hearts to come help us in our ministry. We plead with you to join us in prayer for this need.
In July, we will be taking our teens to a Youth Conference in Mexico City, which is about six hours away from here. I believe this can be a crucial turning point in our churches. The last time we attended this conference, 95 percent of our teens who attended surrendered to full-time Christian service, some of whom are currently in Bible college or will be leaving soon for Bible college.
We are in need of sponsors for 30 teenagers who would like to attend this Youth Conference. If you would like to help sponsor a teen, the cost is US$130 per person. God has blessed us with many new, tenderhearted young people. Many are from single-parent homes or are being raised by a grandmother. Several of these teens are faithful helpers in our ministries. This is a worthy cause, and it will reap many eternal benefits.
Please band with us in prayer for more laborers for our ministry. We also request prayer for these new Christians we are training. Please also pray for our family as we continue to seek the lost. We are praying for you.
In His service,
Robert Wilson
