We praise God for what He is doing here in our churches. Since our last letter, we have had hundreds saved through the various ministries of both of our churches; 150 of those saved have followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. We also held the Missions Conferences for our churches, and our people more than doubled their pledges to give to foreign missions in the coming year! We can definitely say, “The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” (Psalm 126:3)
We have served in Guadalajara for 18 years, and one of the biggest blessings has been seeing our young people grow up to serve God. Ruth is a product of our Christian school. She is attending Bible college, where she met David. They will be getting married this summer and returning to Bible college in the fall. Their plan is to come work in our ministry after graduating. I will be traveling to the wedding by bus, since there are no airports in the area of the wedding.
We are getting ready to attend Youth Conference in Mexico City in July. Our young people are holding fundraisers and working to raise the funds to attend. We still have 15 youth who need a sponsor. This conference is vital to our ministry here since it results in many young people surrendering to full-time service for God, along with many rededications. Thank you to those who have contributed so far to this need. If anyone else could help, the dividends would be eternal, and the help would be much appreciated. The cost to sponsor a young person is US$130.
Two weeks ago, we held our churches’ Missions Conference. We combined our four churches—the two churches I pastor and the two pastored by men from our main church who have gone to start other churches in Guadalajara. Our people were stirred by the powerful preaching. Many of our members made decisions not only for Faith Promise but also for rededication. We praise God for the willingness of our people to do their part to reach the world.
We also request prayer for traveling mercies for my family and me, as we will be on the road a lot more than usual this summer. Much of this traveling will be here in Mexico by bus. Please pray for a great movement of God in this coming Youth Conference. Also, plead with us for more laborers for His harvest. We are praying for you.
In His service,
Robert Wilson
