Greetings from Tanzania. We pray that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It truly is a blessing to take time to think about what God has done for us and remember that we can always find something to be thankful for. We appreciate all the emails and cards that we receive. Thank you for making us feel so special. Even though we don’t have all the traditional “Thanksgiving” food here, we try to make do. This Thanksgiving in particular, we are thankful that Baby Kinyonga #4 will be arriving, Lord willing, on March 27, 2022. We will be heading back to the States on January 17.
Ministry wise, things have been going smoothly. We are always grateful for that. We have Bible Clubs in different areas every Saturday. The folks that run these clubs started because they wanted to. We never say, “Hey, run this. We need a Bible Club here.” So, whenever the Lord puts it on their heart, that’s when we start one. Well, one couple was praying about their area and decided they would like to start, so we now have a new Bible Club in an area called Kiegea. We are excited that Baba Lincoln and his family decided to take this next step in ministry.
We also went into a new area for soul winning, an area called Sayuni; it’s right next to the mountains. The area has grown a lot since we arrived. We have a few families from our church that live in that area. One of the ladies is Mama Maria. She and her daughter have been faithful for years, but her husband has never come. Mama Maria’s other daughter just had a baby, so we decided to go and visit. When we arrived, Mama Maria’s husband was there, along with her daughter-in-law. Her daughter-in-law was a Muslim but was searching for the truth. The opportunity came for me to lead her (Mama Tunda) to the Lord. She immediately said, “A huge weight has been lifted.” That was on a Tuesday. That Saturday, we all came for soul winning, and 18 people were saved that day. The next day, which was Sunday, Baba Maria (Mama Maria’s husband) and Mama Tunda (the daughter-in-law) came to church, and they have been coming ever since. It has now been three weeks. We are grateful for growth; it’s small, but it’s a big. Please continue to pray for Baba Maria. He has not yet professed Christ, but his willingness to come to church is absolutely HUGE.
Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers for us and the souls here in Tanzania. Please pray for rain. We have only had rain one time in the last six months. The city has not provided us water in over six months. When we call, they say, “Go home, and pray for rain.” We have had to order it in. Everyone has taken a hit due to the lack of water, including farmers and animals for sure. We know we will get the rain that we need in God’s timing.
We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Our next letter we will be Stateside. We are also planning to incorporate a trip out West to visit our supporting churches out there when we are in the States. If you are located out West and would like us to stop in for a visit, please contact us to that we can put you on our schedule. We would love to see as many of you as possible since we have not been out West since we have been on the field. We are looking forward to the future and what God will do here in the country of Tanzania. We love you guys.
For His glory,
Mshama, Martha, Esther, Benjamin, Rachel, & Baby Kinyonga
