Thank you, praying friends! We have seen many great blessings recently and are praising God for them all. The first and greatest is the birth of our newest daughter, A___ J___. She was born June 7 in Indiana at 19½ inches and 8 pounds 15 ounces. My wife and I have both said that she is the easiest baby we have had yet. W___ and B___ were both jaundiced when they were born, causing us to have to spend extra time in the hospital. With A___, we were in and out of the hospital within 48 hours. She’s already sleeping four hours at a time, and my wife is recovering well. Thank you for your prayers for mother and daughter. One of the greatest joys in my life is holding my newborn children, and my heart is full with gratitude to our great God.
If you remember, we were also asking prayer for a new vehicle that would hold all three car seats while we travel. We did buy a vehicle, but we were having some paperwork issues in receiving a new title and registering the van to use. We have used borrowed cars and rentals to get to our meetings recently, but we received the title to our van this week. We’ve registered our van in time for our next meeting out in Maryland.
We do ask that you would continue to pray for R___’s recovery. We are leaving this week for our next meeting, and she feels up to the trip. We’re pushing forward in the hopes of finishing deputation soon. Please pray that she will continue to heal while we’re on the road and that our meetings will be fruitful.
I’m still working to fill out our fall schedule, but we have been praying specifically that we will be ready to go to the field before the end of the year. We’ll be starting our Taiwan visa application soon, trying to get ahead in the process before we have reached full support. It is our prayer that we will spend Christmas with our families before flying to Taiwan. This means that there is a lot of work ahead of us, with traveling, applying for our visas, and packing up our things for the move.
With our growing family, all the answers to prayer, and the excitement of moving to Taiwan, we are on cloud nine with how good God has been. Your prayers have made a massive invisible impact on our deputation, and we ask that you don’t grow weary in well doing. To all of you who keep in touch, to all of you who give sacrificially, to all of you who remember us in prayer, we thank you deeply for the important part you have played in our following God’s will. God bless you, and know that you are in our prayers as well.
Here for Him,
