The month of January has been busy for our family as we travel during furlough. We have been to five different states and put almost 3,000 miles on our vehicle. We thank the Lord for His mercy and safety. We were so blessed to attend several Missions Conferences and meetings this month. There was one occasion where the temperature dropped below zero, and although it was so cold, praise the Lord, the vehicle we are using did not have any problems.
Our church in the Philippines, Highland Baptist Church, just had their Children’s Anniversary Services throughout our city neighborhoods. We had almost 30 workers going out all day. They started around 8:00 a.m. and worked until 3:00 p.m. The Lord blessed as they met in outside stairwells, sidewalks, living rooms, or just outside in the grass. We had a total of 458 in attendance, and over 300 called on the Lord for salvation. The Bible says, “. . . Suffer little children . . . to come unto me . . . .”
I remember being saved as an 11-year-old boy after my Sunday school teacher, Mrs. McKeever, witnessed to her class. Statistics say that there is a high percentage of those who receive the Lord Jesus Christ do so before the age of 17.
Please continue to pray that we could reach more souls for the Lord Jesus Christ this coming year.
