Luke 14:23, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
My wife Tammy and I would like to thank those of you who have been praying for us. Taking care of her parents has been challenging at times, but it has also been a blessing. My father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer for the third time. This time, he was informed that there were five tumors in different parts of his body. However, after four months of immunotherapy, he was told that the cancer is in full remission, and all five tumors are gone. Praise the Lord!
Recently, we felt challenged to give away Bibles. We got online and ordered over $500 worth of Bibles and a heavy-duty canopy tent. We also purchased some signboards and some chairs. I invited the teenagers in our church to come and help. After everything had arrived, we got permission, informed the police, and went to work. The teens got excited and were helping in different ways. Some were under the canopy placing tracts in Bibles and handing them out to those who came. Others were spread out holding signs and waving at cars passing by.
Moments after we were set up, a car pulled up, and I approached it. A man from California was visiting for about a week and wanted a Bible. By God’s grace, he not only got a Bible, but he also got Jesus in his heart. While I was witnessing to him, I saw two other cars lined up behind him. I couldn’t believe it! Cars kept coming in left and right, including a man on a forklift from a nearby store. We kept witnessing to as many as we could. Some got a Bible and thanked us as they drove off; others heard the Gospel and got saved. The rain began, but we didn’t quit. Zaylie came up behind me with her umbrella as I was leading another to Christ at her car window. By the time three hours had passed, we had given away 113 Bibles, 9 people had prayed to receive Christ as Saviour, and the joy of God was all over us for taking a stand for Him. Afterwards, all 12 of us workers packed up and went to Pizza Hut to celeb
rate.
Throughout the month, I had the privilege of leading 7 others to Christ. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know that God will use anyone who is willing to serve. We thank God for all of the prayers and for those who are considering supporting our work. Stay safe, and God bless you.
Sincerely,
Lawrence Williams
