April 30 marked a full year that we’ve been on deputation. God has done a lot for us in that time, and there is a lot for which we have to be grateful. One recent example I am extremely grateful for is that our oldest child Carina followed the Lord in believer’s baptism on April 28 at Calvary Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Two days prior, she let us know that she was finally ready, after having accepted Christ on November 22, and wanted me to do it. I am thankful to Pastor Tony Ayers for allowing us this opportunity. I’m also grateful for the doors God has opened for us, allowing us to be in 134 different churches and to have 60% of our support coming in.
We were in Green Pond Baptist Church of Green Pond, Alabama, when I met Allison in a mobile home park not far from the church. She was cleaning out a mobile home that belonged to her grandfather, who had recently passed away. Her friend Brooke was helping, and her other friend Dalia had stopped by briefly to chat. All three ladies said that they didn’t know for sure they would go to Heaven but were willing to listen to what the Bible said. After a thorough presentation of the Gospel, Brooke and Dalia accepted Christ, with Allison saying that she was dealing with some things right then and had to give it more thought. Please pray that she accepts Christ and gets in church.
I want to thank all of you who prayed for me and the hernia surgery. With God’s help, we didn’t miss any meetings, and I am mostly recovered Please pray for our continued health, safety, soul-winning opportunities, and support.
