What a mighty God we serve! Lately we have seen God work in ways we have never seen Him move before, and we are thrilled to share with you all that He has done this month in our deputation, as well as for the 2020 Japan Olympic Outreach.
One holiday that I thought I would never preach as a Japanese man was a 4th of July service here in the States. However, we had the privilege of starting off July knocking on doors, preaching, and presenting for a big-day service in Marion, Ohio! While out soul winning, a lady named Rochelle trusted Christ as her Saviour, and after the preaching service, a man named Chris walked down the aisle and got saved! Hallelujah! These are two souls who signed off their independence from the fireworks of Hell this 4th of July!
From Ohio, my wife and I drove over to Moorhead, Minnesota, as our first stop on our way back to California for our second round of meetings on the West Coast. We had the privilege of presenting our ministry there, as well as in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. Instead of knocking on doors there at that city, the pastor, who has been working on planting a church in Alexandria, asked us to knock on doors for his church plant. While out soul winning, a lady named Kelly got saved, and a family of three committed to start attending church there! The church in Elbow Lake also voted to partner with us that same night. Praise the Lord!
Our next two meetings were scheduled in Colorado. On our way there, we passed through very unique-looking storms in Nebraska, which we found out that next morning to be none other than 12 tornadoes that the Lord protected us from! Praise God for those of you who pray for our safety! We arrived safely in Carbondale, Colorado, for our first meeting and then in Loveland, Colorado, for our second. The church at Carbondale voted to partner with us shortly after the meeting. We serve a real God indeed!
On Tuesday, the 16th, my wife and I safely arrived at our home base in California. While knocking on doors in the neighborhood, a man named Richard trusted Christ as Saviour! From there we had the privilege of being a part of two Missions Conferences: one in Anaheim and another in Corona. In the midst of these conferences, I had the opportunity of leading two Japanese exchange students, Hina and Momo, to the Lord in their own language over the phone! The church there at Anaheim also voted to take us on! On top of all of these blessings, I received another phone call from one of our supporting churches in Fallbrook, letting us know that they have chosen to sponsor us as their missionaries for their VBS this year! We plan to use this money for extra funding for the 2020 Japan Olympic Outreach. We had prayed for 30 delegates, and we have found out that a total of 43 soul winners have registered and paid to attend this trip! A new record for FBMI! Thank you for praying with us as we prepare for this trip. We are expecting God to do something special, as He already has been in our midst!
Your friends and co-laborers to Japan,
