We didn’t waste too much time in January in getting back on the road for the last season, Lord willing, of our deputation trail. The Lord has blessed us with scheduled meetings nearly every week until June, and we’re still booking meetings.
After preaching at and updating one of our supporters in Michigan, we traveled to warmer weather in January and began our set of meetings in the sunny state of Florida. In January, I had the honor of presenting our ministry and preaching at the following churches: Cornerstone Baptist Church of Naples, Florida; Riverview Baptist Church of Fort Pierce, Florida; Buckingham Baptist Church of Fort Myers, Florida; Adel Baptist Church of Adel, Georgia; County Line Baptist Church of Randolph, Mississippi; and Walnut Gap Missionary Baptist Church of Charleston, West Virginia. We had great meetings in all of the new churches we presented in, and we hope and pray that the Lord would lead them to partner with us. Riverview Baptist Church voted to take us on for support at the end of their service. We praise the Lord for what He has done in these meetings! We also had a great time visiting some of our current supporters and updating them on our progress. It was also great meeting up with friends along the way.
On January 26, many Aussies celebrated Australia Day. It is the official day of Australia. It marks the 1788 raising of the British flag at Sydney Cove by Arthur Philip. We are anticipating next year when we as a family can celebrate it for the first time and have our very first “shrimp (we call them prawns in Australia) on the barbie.” We are hoping and praying that by this summer, we will have raised 100% of our needed financial support, and that my wife Mindy will have her visa approved and ready to leave for the field of Australia. Please pray that the processing of Mindy’s visa will be smooth and according to the Lord’s timing. We are pleased to announce that at the close of January, we reached 90% of financial support commitments needed! Praise the Lord!
Please continue to pray for our health and safety in our travels. We’ll be in three different states, and we’ll even get to go home for a couple of days. In February, we’ll also have our preliminary Exit Interview with our mission board. We’re so excited! We thank you for your faithful prayers and for your continued investment in this great endeavor!
Your servant in Christ,
