April was a very unusual time for us missionaries—and for everybody else in the world. Through this time, we’ve learned the value of life and our livelihood. Though we could focus on all the negatives at this moment, I’ve been encouraged at all the positives that have come out of this situation.
Since the middle of March at our last Missions Conference in Wisconsin, we’ve not been able to meet physically at our meetings. However, I have been encouraged that the churches where we were supposed to meet and present our ministry were able to reschedule us for another date later in the year. Not only have they been able to reschedule us for another date, they still sent us a check in the mail as a love gift! I’m so encouraged to see churches that are considering the needs of us missionaries. Thank you to all of our supporters who have continued giving your financial support through these hard times, and a special thank you to those who gave an extra gift to help us out in this situation! I know that the Lord will continue to supply your needs as He promised in Philippians 4:19.
There’s one unique situation that’s happened this past month. We had the privilege of being a part of Mountain Vista Baptist Church’s Missions Conference in April. It was one of the most unique Missions Conferences we’ve been a part of. It was all done online! That’s right! We attended a Missions Conference over the Internet at a church 2,000 miles away! I had the honor of presenting our ministry and preaching the Word of God. My wife and I got to be a part of Zoom Meetings for the conference. What a great church with a great heart for missions!
During this time, we’ve been staying at the home of my in-laws in Michigan and have been “attending” our sending church’s live-stream services. We’ve had the privilege of recording encouraging greetings and sermons for several of our supporters. We’ve also been able to attend Zoom Meetings with several of our supporters. We’ve still been able to spread the Gospel via the Internet through videos and sharing videos of friends of ours on Facebook. One particular video of a friend of ours had 865 shares and over 14,000 views! Let’s get the Gospel out no matter what! Mindy has also been able to share encouraging messages to many ladies via social media. I’ve been sending my video presentation to new churches in hopes of being able to present to them online. Please pray for this project. Please know that we are praying for you, and we hope this has been a blessing to you!
Your servant in Christ,
