Dave and Mary Beth Solt Prayer Letter: Ministry in OverdrivePutting the Ministry in Overdrive

We are getting busy! Since Daniel and family have arrived, the church has been growing. Now it seems that everything is rolling into overdrive. Souls are being saved; visitors are coming. Our Sunday morning service is a great crowd of believers from all over the world, and we are now holding services in two nursing homes per week! Every day there is something to do. As we near the middle of the year, 50 souls have been saved, and 79 people have visited our church! And, thankfully, we now have a second minibus driver to help us bring families to services.

Work in Our New Studio and More

Our equipment is set up, so now it is time to figure out how to use it. Last week, I recorded a ten-minute slot on “What Is the Gospel?” Now we are looking for someone who can help with editing the videos, and we are learning how to improve the video and audio quality. It’s a learning curve! We have also hosted three different visitors in the past few months. Pastor Lamb from Landmark Baptist Church in Parkersburg, West Virginia, brought a group of eight, and we had a wonderful time with them. Jim Belisle came over and preached for us on a weekend, and the Pierce family from Indiana were a tremendous blessing as well. More are coming over to visit soon, and we joyfully anticipate the opportunities to share this great ministry of the Lord. Thanks to Daniel and family for their hard work organizing these visits.

Summer Fun!

June was packed out with extra activities. The ladies had an afternoon out to the countryside for an Afternoon Tea. The men had a day by the seaside at an interesting Spitfire Museum and then went out for fresh fish ’n chips. The end of June was our first Family Service. We plan to have the church services on the fifth Sundays include the children’s ministries and teens. In July, we have the annual Junior Church Family Field Day for families to come together to picnic and run some group games, like the sack race and egg-and-spoon race. Our Holiday Bible Club (VBS) will begin on July 31 and run to 3 August. Please pray with us that this church team effort will be blessed and have lasting results.

Solt Family Update

The house is quiet again, as Dan and family have settled into a lovely country home in the hills. But we get lots of hugs from Ruby at each church service, and Mary Beth has her in Sunday school and King’s Kids. Little Andrew is now a BIG baby! Wow! He’s growing up too fast!

Josh has been working hard in Iowa to get further training and certification for his job. This helps him advance and be more confident to get the work done well for his company. We rejoice to know that he is faithful to church and his Lord.

Jeremy and Ashley were able to bring baby Ember home recently. She was only 37 weeks’ gestation but was doing well enough to be cared for at home. This will be a busy time for them as they settle in with a preemie. Thank you so much for all of the prayers on their behalf. God has worked to strengthen the parents and Ember!

We very much appreciate all of our supporters and friends who invest in prayer for our lives here in the UK. Some interesting blessings come along the way as a result of the long time we have been serving here. I was recently at a revival meeting in a nearby town and met the family of a man I’d encouraged in the faith many years ago. “Clipping Coupons” was the phrase we used to hear older preachers use. Now WE are the ones using that expression! Thank you for your efforts to keep us on the field for Christ’s sake.

Yours for souls,

The Solt Family
