The Bible says in Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Santos, the man I mentioned in our last prayer letter who got saved and baptized, passed away this month from various health complications. Death is right around the corner for many unsuspecting people. We must urgently get them the Gospel before it is too late.
One of the ladies in our church asked me if I would go witness to her cousin who had a cancerous tumor removed from her brain a year ago. Since the surgery, she has slowly become paralyzed from the neck down and is losing her health quickly. As I witnessed to her, I noticed that her brother kept nodding his head in agreement, paying much attention to what I was saying. When I finished, I asked Ana if she had all her faith in Jesus to save her or if she had even a part of her faith in something else. She told me that she did not have all her faith in Jesus and that she wanted to get saved. She sweetly prayed and asked Jesus to save her. When she finished, I asked her brother if he was saved. He told me that he had gotten saved because of a coworker and that what I told Ana was exactly what his coworker had told him. He told me that he had tried to share it with his sister but felt he couldn’t explain it well enough for her to understand. He started to cry as he thanked me for coming and sharing the Gospel with his sister. Please pray that Ana and her brother, Julio Cesar, will both grow spiritually and get involved in church.
I am very excited to announce that we are going to be starting our Christian school up again in January 2017. Because of a debt our church has, we weren’t able to continue it, but by the end of this year, we will be debt-free. The children in our church are so excited. Please pray that the parents will be able to come up with the extra money to be able to enroll their children, as many parents send their children to the public schools because of a lack of finances. Also, pray for the ones who will be working in the school as they prepare for a giant task ahead of them. Most importantly, pray that the Lord would use the Christian school to develop full-time Christian servants and godly young people.
