God is so good to us! He redeemed us, and He uses us! What a privilege it is to call the God of Heaven, Father. Please continue to do your part in fulfilling the Great Commission while there is yet time.
In our last letter, I mentioned that I would have the opportunity to travel and start another Bible institute. Thank you, Bible Baptist Church in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, for your financial help with this endeavor. This time, we traveled by road (my first road trip in Nigeria) to Vandeikya, Benue State, to help Rockway Independent Baptist Church start an institute. We were able to teach and preach on subjects such as baptism, eternal security, etc. On Sunday, I had the opportunity to baptize 23 people, both young and old, in the river. On our way back, we were able to preach at and encourage a church pastored by one of the graduates from the seminary. The pastor took me to his family’s village, and about 200 people gathered and listened as I preached the Gospel to them through an interpreter. Please pray for the people enrolled in the institute, for those who were saved, and for the seeds that were planted.
I just finished teaching Old Testament Survey I at our institute here in Abuja. I love teaching laypeople, some who are training for full-time ministry, who are hungry to learn more about God and His Word!
One of our deacons is a police officer, and he invited me to come and preach at the chapel where he works. I was able to preach to about 20 police officers, most of them trusting in their works to save them. I preached on, “What Our Righteousness Can and Cannot Do.” I’m praying that the Holy Spirit would work on hearts.
Another one of the good men in our church invited us to come and help with the Bible Club that he hosts at his house. The whole family went, and Erin was able to teach the story of the Twelve Spies to about 20 children. We are grateful for the members of Truth Baptist Church who are doing their best to “punch holes in the darkness.”
