Senior Pastors’ Seminar
August 11-13, we were able to host a Senior Pastors’ Seminar. Over 100 pastors and assistant pastors came, with 57 churches represented. Our theme was, “Exposing False and Cult Teachings.” It was a great time of instruction and fellowship! The teaching centered around equipping the pastors with Bible truth to protect themselves and those under their care from false doctrines and false teachers. We were able to connect on a personal level with many of the pastors and strengthen our relationships with them. We were also able to provide Bibles and other resources for them to use in their churches. Please pray for the independent, fundamental Baptist churches here in Ghana to be faithful and effective in the work of soul winning and making disciples. The harvest is so plenteous here, and so many Ghanaians are open to the Gospel—they just need a preacher!
Soul Winning and Discipleship
One of the men in our Faithful Men training program, Fredrick Kyei, recently shared with me his burden to reach his family and friends from the area he grew up in with the Gospel. We have been soul winning in that area for a few months now. In August and September, we were able to lead 23 of his friends and family members to Christ, and 5 of them have visited our church. One of his friends, Akwasi Agyeman, has been coming to church faithfully, is doing our discipleship curriculum, and has gone soul winning with us on one occasion. Please pray for Akwasi to become a laborer in God’s harvest.
I am continuing to teach our discipleship lessons to my neighbors, Thelma and Simon. They have been coming to church faithfully. Thank you for praying for them.
I have started teaching our discipleship lessons to Roland and Anthony, two of my Sunday school class members. Please pray for these new believers to be established in the faith and to grow to be productive for the Lord.
