SMITE Youth Camp
April 15-19, we conducted SMITE youth camp. We had 155 campers who came from 10 different churches. Each afternoon, our campers went out into the community to conduct Bible Clubs for children. We conducted 23 Bible Clubs, with over 1,600 children attending. Over 750 children professed faith in Christ! Many children from the Bible Clubs have come to church over the last several weeks! Each evening, we had preaching services for our teenagers. Many of our teenagers made decisions to win souls to Christ and get involved in a Bible Club ministry in their church, and 16 young men surrendered to preach! It was a phenomenal week! To God be the glory for the great things He did!
Converts / Disciples
After SMITE camp, Josiah decided to conduct a 5-day Bible Club near our house. He recruited workers and led the club each day. Over 40 different children came, and many children trusted Christ as their Saviour! So far, 9 of the children have come to church, including a family whose mother, named Rebecca, has started coming with 4 of her children (pictured on right). I had the privilege of preaching the Gospel to Rebecca, and she trusted in Christ. Please pray that she will follow the Lord in baptism and continue to grow.
A man named Dominic runs a provision store near our church. A few months ago, he started coming to my Sunday school class. He had been a member of an Assemblies of God church for several years and believed in a works-based salvation. After preaching to him, he readily trusted Christ alone for salvation! Please pray for Dominic to follow the Lord in baptism and be established in the faith.
Last Saturday afternoon, while soul winning at a university campus, I met a young man named Seth. He was very open to the Gospel and trusted Christ as his Saviour. He came to church on Sunday and followed the Lord in baptism (pictured on right). Please pray for Seth to grow and be a disciple of Christ.
Upcoming Furlough
We are planning to take a three-month furlough this fall. Lindsey is due at the end of August, and we believe it would be best for her to give birth in the USA. We are so excited to have another child! Please pray for protection and strength for Lindsey and the baby. Pray for God to use us to help many while we are in the USA.
