International Baptist Church Nong Phlap saw its highest attendances throughout the past few weeks. We welcomed many new visitors, baptized converts, and personally saw many souls saved during different soul-winning times each week. Since late May of 2020, salvations continue to happen each week through God’s providence. We thank the Lord for the opportunities to serve at this exciting church and within Team Thailand.
In August, a group of believers about 50 minutes north of the church asked us to come teach them the Bible. They were hoping we would be able to come once or twice a month. The group often has to work on Sundays, and the distance of travel on a motorcycle is more difficult. Star and I decided to use the Foundations of My Faith discipleship series to teach this “hungry for truth “group. The very first week, Insign was saved. The next week, Ekeljon was saved; and the third week, Chinawoo, age 10, was saved. Chinawoo was supposed to be back in Burma, but travel restrictions prevented him from leaving Thailand. We will continue to disciple this group every week on Tuesday evenings, posting the videos for all of our church members to view and learn from.
Our Wednesday night service restarted in July, and we saw many families with young children come to learn. My wife Sarah grew up with a fantastic Wednesday Night Bible Club for kids in her home church. With these memories and the number of children coming, the Lord led Sarah to open up a Thai version of the Wednesday Night Bible Club for kids every week. The club includes Scripture memorization, Bible fundamentals, games, contests, sashes, patches, and more. The response of the kids has been strong, while our adults are being rooted in foundational truths in the building next door via a second discipleship series. Our weeks are full, but we are having a great time in the Lord.
All four of our weekly adult services are posted on the church Facebook page: International Baptist Church Nong Phlap. These online postings fill the gaps for those who have to work during a church service. Many have work schedules that change every week. We hope these methods sustain and strengthen all of our church members and beyond.
Just a couple of days after Chinawoo was saved, another young boy, Nay Nay, age 9, was saved, also stuck in Thailand because of travel restrictions. The dreaded virus does have some special blessings in store for those seeking the truth. Please pray for these two boys, Chinawoo and Nay Nay. Also, please pray for Nattharak and his family. Nattharak hydroplaned his motorcycle while working for a food delivery service last week. He fractured his knee, requiring a month or two of careful recovery. We pray for quick healing and needs met for this godly family.
We pray faithfully for the USA and the many, many churches and pastors who are under restrictions. We are with you and for you! Thailand was under very strict restrictions through May, reopening afterwards. The reopening has been motivational, beyond words. Restrictions and complications in the USA motivate us even more to serve faithfully here in Thailand, fulfilling the role God called me to in February of 2005. I married my dear Sarah in August of 2006 and then landed on the mission field of Thailand in 2008. God is so good!
Grateful to serve,
Bro. Chad Inman & Family
