Though this month has seemed to be a slower month for us when it comes to drop-ins and meetings, we have remained busy for God! With beautiful weather, we have gone out several times to bring the Gospel to Albion and surrounding areas. On one particular day, Ali and the kids were passing out tracts while I was door knocking. Unfortunately, no one came to answer their door, but as we finished, we let the kids play on the playground for a few minutes. While they were playing, I noticed a teenage boy at the other end of the park shooting hoops. I went over to him and began shooting hoops with him. After a few minutes, we stopped, and I began to show him his need for salvation. Praise the Lord! Right there in the park, we prayed together, and Jeremy received Jesus Christ as his own personal Saviour! Please pray that Jeremy would now start attending a good church to grow in Christ.
This month I also had the blessing to preach the Gospel to the men in prison just a few days before Christmas. Seventy-six men came out for the service, and during the invitation, four men came to trust Christ as their Saviour!
One of the greatest things that I have been blessed to see slowly unfold this month is what the Lord is doing at my job. I am eager and ready to be on deputation full-time, but I can see that God is not quite done with me at my current mission field/job. To make a long story short, over the last few months, there has been a small group of Christians who meet together and strengthen and encourage one another to be more bold in their witness to those at our workplace. We have seen several coworkers who, in times past, would not be willing to talk about God, suddenly now have an open heart and are asking many questions. I wish I could go into more detail and share all that God is doing in the lives of those I work with, but all of it would just not fit in this letter. I earnestly ask that you please pray with me in this matter; pray that God would continue to move and that many coworkers would come to call upon Christ.
Lastly, we finished out the year of 2018 with our good friend Mike from our home church. We went to Downtown Jackson where they were having a street party on New Year’s Eve called “Eve on the Ave.” We were blessed to go and pass out John and Romans to those passing by on the sidewalks. Praise the Lord! We went through almost an entire box, and many souls were able to get the Good News to take with them into the New Year!
We praise God for the many ways He has used us throughout this year and look forward to 2019 and seeing all that God will continue to do. Amen! We thank you all for your love, prayers, and support that make all of this possible. We also wish you all a Happy New Year! May God bless you as you shine forth the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ!
