“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.”
(Psalm 68:11)
Emmanuel Baptist Church of Longview started off the year right by purchasing Church Bible Publishing. I was asked to preach two days during the opening of this ministry.
I was also able to preach for my long-time friend, Pastor Danny Ortiz, in Lewisville, Texas. God has blessed his church tremendously, and they are doing a great work there. His church took the challenge of saving coins for BEST Missions after I told them we could print three pages of the Thai Bible for just ONE PENNY. They got excited about helping with the publishing of the Word of God. I had to order an additional three boxes of banks from BEST Missions for his church! Praise the Lord!
We attended the Annual Missions Conference at Victory Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. Pastor Bob Page has been a true friend for many years.
A family I’ve known for nearly 40 years asked me to preach the Homegoing service for their son. The church was packed, and 10 precious souls received Christ as their Saviour during the invitation.
At the end of 2021, we can gladly report to you that we have distributed nearly 300,000 whole Bibles and New Testaments, nearly 5 million John & Romans, and over 30 million Gospel tracts throughout Southeast Asia. There is only one reason we can report those kind of results—because of the faithful giving of God’s people! What a blessing you have been! We continually ask for your prayers and faithful support.
“Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.” (Psalm 71:18)
I turned 74 in February, and with things in my body failing, I came to the conclusion that this old boy needed an overhaul. After countless doctor’s visits, I made the decision to have surgery on my lower back. I want to continue to do the work that God called me to do many years ago.
On February 8, I had surgery to repair five bulging disks. I was in the hospital for two weeks and have continued with therapy at home. Slowly but surely, I am improving a little each day. I don’t believe the Lord is done with me yet. I praise the Lord for the good helpmeet He gave me 55 years ago. I canceled all my meetings in February. That is not profitable, but it is needful at this time. I covet your prayers that God will allow me to keep my preaching schedule and continue to raise funds for BEST Missions to publish the Word of God. We love you. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
