“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:38)
Praise the Lord! Denise was finally able to get the surgery she needed on March 23, and recovery is going well. She is also receiving hyperbaric therapy, so this should promote healing. The hyperbaric treatment she has already received has helped her tremendously. They have now stopped all her chemotherapies, as they were starting to do more harm than good. Please pray for her strength to increase and the side effects of all the treatments to subside. This journey has had many blessings, and we thank God for all of them. We are praying about and looking to the Lord about the timing of things going forward. Our excitement is building as we get closer to the day of getting back to Asia.
Thank God for those who have come to Christ in the Atlanta area. Visitors have been coming to church from Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, Central Republic of Africa, Congo, Romania, Ecuador, and Tanzania—it is like being a missionary to the world in one city. I’ve knocked hundreds and hundreds of doors and haven’t even scratched the surface of the amount of people here, and more than 95% of them have been from a foreign country. It is amazing to think of reaching all of these people and teaching them the Word of God. If they all became missionaries and returned to their countries, they would already know the languages. It makes me wonder what impact it could have on the world for the cause of Christ. Oh Lord, please send laborers into Your harvest!
Our eldest son Joseph is greatly desiring to go back to India as a missionary. He believes God wants him to help one of the local pastors and churches there to train men and help them plant churches. He also believes that God wants him to have an orphanage. He has already bought land to build upon, and God has already brought him and his wife 11 children, whom he has been supporting. They have had a great struggle trying to get the things needed to process his wife’s paperwork, and thus far, it has not happened. He is now pursuing his documentation to be able to live there permanently. Please make it a matter of earnest prayer that he would be able to get what he needs to live in India. Also pray for God to provide the funds he would need to be able to live, build a building, and take care of the orphans.
Thank you for all of your faithful prayers and support!
Yours for His harvest,
Andrew Long
