“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach
the gospel to every creature.”
(Mark 16:15)
We have been having a fantastic time out sharing the Gospel! God moved us to the north side of Atlanta. We are staying in a missions apartment in the middle of people from all around the world. What a joy it has been to share the Gospel with people from nine different nations in the last few weeks.
One of those times as we were sharing the Gospel with a small group of people, a 14-year-old girl from Iraq trusted Christ to be her Saviour. She came up to speak with me afterwards. She said, “Mister, will you please wait here? Please wait here, Mister; I will be right back.” As she departed, I looked at my partner and shrugged my shoulders as if to say, I have no idea what that was about. We waited, and in just a little while, she returned with two of her sisters and a brother. She said, “Mister, this is my brother and my sisters, and now that I’m going to live with Jesus when I die, I want them to be with me. I don’t want them to go to that Lake of Fire you read about in God’s Word. Please tell them what you told me so Jesus can save them like He saved me.” My heart was moved greatly, as I could see the anguish of her soul for her family.
As I was sharing the Gospel with her family, some children from Afghanistan came walking up and began listening from a distance. When I made the statement, “Jesus is the Son of God,” one of the older Afghan boys got the 13-year-old Iraqi boy’s attention. I saw him mouth, “That is not true. Jesus is not the Son of God.” Upon observing this, I began praying as I was speaking, “Lord, please don’t let Satan distract this young man.” Continuing on, the Iraqi boy listened intently as though the other boy wasn’t there. Finally, we arrived at Romans 10:13, I said, “Jesus is listening for you to call upon His name.” The Afghan boy began waving his arms, getting the Iraqi boy’s attention. He began saying, “Don’t do it! Don’t do it! Don’t call on Jesus! No, no, don’t do it!” As I stood there, not knowing what I should do except pray while this young man was in the valley of decision, he looked to his sister and said, “What should I do? I want to be saved.” She replied, “Then you have to call on Jesus. He is the only one Who can save you. I already did, and my sins are gone.” Upon hearing that, he bowed his head and said, “Jesus, will You save me? I want to live with You when I die.” Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Jesus won the day!!!
Thank you for all your faithful prayers and support!
Yours for His harvest,
