  • Juan and Amy Vallejo Prayer Letter: Blessings of Health and PeaceWe want to thank God for blessing us with health and peace and for bringing new people to the church. I also thank God for my wife and 24 years of blessings and joy. I thank the Lord for my children and that everyone in my family is well, both in the United States and in Mexico. We are praying for my oldest sister Elena, as she is anemic, and her kidneys are almost failing. Please help me pray that the Lord would continue to bless, provide for, and protect her.

Thank you for praying and giving to the work of the Lord! Children’s Day in October was a great success, with a full church attendance, many visitors, and souls saved. My wife and I had a fun time with the puppet show! Barbara and her daughters helped Amy and Chloe with decorations in Cotia, while Janainha made handmade wall decorations, Anita and Maria helped with the cleaning, and Elaine and others wrapped gifts and candy bags in São Paulo. Kayene and Gabriel did a great job with the puppet show in São Paulo.

We thank God for the visitors we have had in the churches; such is the case of Juliana, whom I was evangelizing. This young woman passed in front of the church with her three-year-old daughter. We told her that God had a plan for her life and was also the solution to her problems. She accepted our invitation and came to the church. My wife explained the plan of salvation to her, and she accepted Christ and enjoyed her time in church. In this same month, we invited a young woman from Bahia, Brazil. She said she would come to church, and she did, bringing her husband and two of her children. I had the opportunity to lead her husband to the Lord Jesus Christ. Daniel led Otavio to the Lord, and Esther led Enzo to the Lord.

The Lord is blessing us here with a growing attendance and a very exciting spirit in the church. We are so encouraged by the faithful ones who are bringing visitors and the newcomers who are participating in the activities with great enthusiasm. Daniel and Micah have invited many kids to participate in the soccer ministry. Esther and Chloe have quite a team of girls for volleyball as well. Saturday mornings are filled with hours of activities for the teens, followed by several hours on soul-winning visitation, and finally bus route and evening service. These kids have a lot of energy and are a real blessing!

Now that Juan and David are studying in Bible college, Daniel, Micah, Chloe, and Caleb have stepped into their older siblings’ shoes. Daniel is leading the singing and takes prayer requests and praises, as well as asking the Bible questions. He has also volunteered to teach Junior Church with Amy. We thanked Adrian for coming to church, and he gave credit to his younger brother, who is insisting on going to church with him.

The Lord has given us new people visiting our church, and every time we have a visitor, we have led them to the feet of Christ, as in the case of Sonia, a woman from an African sect. We invited her to church, and my wife led her to Christ. That woman is alive by the grace of God; she suffered a motorcycle accident and broke her arm, and her bone was restored after being broken in multiple places. We also had a Mennonite family visiting our church who liked the preaching, and they have remained with us until today. It’s a blessing to see the brothers and sisters back in church, because some of them had stopped coming, like Everardo, who had stopped coming due to sadness. Now he’s encouraged and is helping us check the electrical wiring in the church. Also, Lucilene, who hadn’t been coming for a long time, has brought her family back and is bringing her extended family. Another sister has returned after a period of depression, and through preaching, she has been guided to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, to cast her burdens on Him, and to dedicate herself to doing the work in our ministry. Now, she always brings some food to share with the brothers and sisters at the services.

In just one service, we had seven people accept Jesus Christ; please pray for them to grow spiritually. The enemy doesn’t want people to be saved, and he doesn’t want people to grow spiritually. In one way or another, he tries to stop them. We also had the blessing of having a woman who practiced spiritism with us, and we carefully explained the Bible to her at her house. She ended up coming to our church and being evangelized by my wife. She always receives us very well at her home and has the desire to come to our church. It’s a blessing to see the Lord working in His work and using His workers so that His harvest is not lost.

We ask for your prayers to meet the challenge of Psalm 126:5-6. Keep praying for us here in Brazil, because we have already been serving the Lord for 19 years, and although we feel the burden, we don’t focus on that. Rather, we focus on the joy of seeing souls converted to Christ and seeing the change that God is making in the lives of people in this country.

Please pray, as our dear Anita’s husband is in ICU. We appreciate your consideration for the many needs of the church building, as we are doing as much work as we can ourselves to help keep costs at a minimum. We thank the Lord for your prayers and support.
God bless you greatly in the service of the Lord.

    In His service,

    The Vallejo Family
