LATEST
These past two months have not only been among the busiest ever since we started here in 2021, but we have also tasted a little of II Corinthians 6:4 “But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses.” Pray for our continued steadfastness as we press on toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Signs and Wonders Follow!
One of my biggest concerns about transitioning back into Turkey was that one of the requirements to obtain the kind of visa that keeps us here is proof of at least a four-year college degree that is recognized by the state. God has provided that recognition in spite of it being a Bible college. Another miracle is that Turkey approved my college transcripts to qualify for the visa we need. Now that we are in Turkey, I was concerned about the renewal process because I would have to resubmit the required documents in person, and the documents would need to be translated. This would mean my college transcripts would be clearly recognized as a Bible college. However, God knew all along that the college document is not needed in the renewal process, and I was relieved to find that out! Please continue to pray, as we apply for renewal at the end of this month.
Incredible Opportunities!
God has blessed us with a new dynamic of ministry that has “increased our coasts.” God has given us the assignment to take the best Bible college materials and have them translated into multiple languages simultaneously. Turkey is a melting pot of Middle Eastern cultures, and over the years, God has connected us with translators of various languages. In recent months, God has connected us with some Bible colleges who are willing to provide their materials in exchange for our translations made available to them. This is huge! And God has already demonstrated His provision and wisdom to make this happen. The translation team has already finished several classes! We currently have six languages, and I believe God will give us many more translators as this ministry grows. Please continue to pray that God would send us more translators willing to serve in this capacity. You can find more information on studythewordinternational.org.
Fruits of Your Giving!
As a result of your prayers and giving, God has raised up a man of God within Turkey who is effective at reaching the Turkish people for Christ. Not only has God given me the opportunity to invest in this beloved brother in Christ, but we have also become dear friends. God is using him mightily in the area where the Apostle Paul grew up. He is seeing people saved and witnessing God’s mighty hand. Pray for a shopkeeper he has been witnessing to. The shopkeeper’s son is paralyzed, and his condition has been causing their family great turmoil. The Muslim shopkeeper asked my friend if Jesus could help his son. Please pray!
