I grew up in a pastor’s home and was saved at the age of 8! When I was 14, my family and I moved to Nicaragua as missionaries. We served there for 5 years. Through this time, the Lord called me to preach and gave me a love for ministry and missions. When I was 19, we moved back to the States, and soon after I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College. While in college, I met my wife! We married the summer after graduation (2021) and began serving at her home church under her father, Pastor David Hemphill. We served there for three years (2021-2024) as youth pastor and assistant.

Tiffany was saved at the age of 5. When she was 8, her family moved to Oswego, Illinois and her father began pastoring the Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 13, she surrendered her life to the Lord. After high school, she attended Hyles-Anderson College where she completed her degree in Secondary Education.

Our desire and plan is to partner with nationals to plant churches in Nicaragua. Initially, we will focus primarily on the southeastern region of Nicaragua in the departments of Chontales and the RACCS. These departments are places of great spiritual need with many communities ranging in size from a few hundred to many thousands that need Gospel-preaching churches. I had the wonderful privilege of living in Nicaragua as a missionary kid for five years and have seen the need of this region firsthand. By God’s grace and for His glory, we hope to saturate this part of the country with local, New Testament churches and capture it for Christ! As God allows, we hope to expand to other regions of Nicaragua and surrounding Central American countries as well in the future. In addition to church planting, we plan to start a Bible Institute in this region of Nicaragua with the purpose of training young men and women, from these same communities, for the Gospel ministry.

  • Jared and Tiffany Stalnaker Prayer Letter: Travels and Meaningful ConnectionsFebruary was a month filled with travels and meaningful connections as we met with churches across Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, and Arizona. We were privileged to participate in three Missions Conferences (more on those in a moment) and present our work in five different churches. Additionally, we had the opportunity to visit one of our supporting churches in North Carolina for their midweek service, where we shared a brief update on our deputation. We are continually grateful for God’s provision and protection throughout our travels. Thank you for your faithful financial and prayer support—both mean so much to us!

Our month began with a Missions Conference at Northwest Bible Baptist Church in Elgin, Illinois. It was a rewarding time, as we engaged in ministry through teaching Sunday school classes and preaching chapel at Providence Baptist College. We were blessed to meet new people and reconnect with familiar faces and friends from this church and ministry. This church’s heart for missions is evident—not only through their support of many missionaries, including us, but also in the many of their own that they have sent to the mission field.

Our second conference of the month was with Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, led by Pastor Bill Davis. During my parents’ time in Nicaragua, Pastor Davis brought a group from his church to spend a week of ministry with us. It was a blessing to reunite with him and others from that trip, and we are excited to partner with them in reaching Nicaraguans with the Gospel!

To close out the month, we traveled west to Yuma, Arizona, to be with Pastor Tom McConkey and Liberty Baptist Church for their Missions Conference. Pastor McConkey and his family have been longtime friends of ours. A unique highlight was having my father preach the conference, allowing us to spend precious time with my parents and siblings, who also traveled to be there. Pastor McConkey and his family were wonderful hosts and even loaned us their vehicle to travel to other meetings we had in the area!

We are incredibly thankful for all of those who have encouraged and supported us this past month. Your partnership in the Gospel is a tremendous blessing!

    Till next time,

Jared, Tiffany, Emerson, & Darcy Stalnaker
