I grew up in a pastor’s home and was saved at the age of 8! When I was 14, my family and I moved to Nicaragua as missionaries. We served there for 5 years. Through this time, the Lord called me to preach and gave me a love for ministry and missions. When I was 19, we moved back to the States, and soon after I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College. While in college, I met my wife! We married the summer after graduation (2021) and began serving at her home church under her father, Pastor David Hemphill. We served there for three years (2021-2024) as youth pastor and assistant.

Tiffany was saved at the age of 5. When she was 8, her family moved to Oswego, Illinois and her father began pastoring the Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 13, she surrendered her life to the Lord. After high school, she attended Hyles-Anderson College where she completed her degree in Secondary Education.

Our desire and plan is to partner with nationals to plant churches in Nicaragua. Initially, we will focus primarily on the southeastern region of Nicaragua in the departments of Chontales and the RACCS. These departments are places of great spiritual need with many communities ranging in size from a few hundred to many thousands that need Gospel-preaching churches. I had the wonderful privilege of living in Nicaragua as a missionary kid for five years and have seen the need of this region firsthand. By God’s grace and for His glory, we hope to saturate this part of the country with local, New Testament churches and capture it for Christ! As God allows, we hope to expand to other regions of Nicaragua and surrounding Central American countries as well in the future. In addition to church planting, we plan to start a Bible Institute in this region of Nicaragua with the purpose of training young men and women, from these same communities, for the Gospel ministry.

  • Jared and Tiffany Stalnaker Prayer Letter: Praising the Lord for His Provision, Protection, and Goodness! With the second month of our deputation journey over, we can’t help but praise the Lord for His provision, protection, and goodness! Our family is doing well and enjoying the journey. Our October deputation travels led us to meetings in South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, and California. We had the privilege to be a part of a high school chapel, participate in three Missions Conferences, visit seven churches, and see many friends and family along the way. Thank you for praying for us.

    A NEW CHURCH PLANT

Six months ago, God used Pastor Joe McConkey, his wife Megan, and sons Parker and Peyton to plant the Emmanuel Baptist Church in beautiful Havre de Grace, Maryland. We were privileged to be a part of this church’s very first Missions-Emphasis Weekend! It was a blessing to see what God is doing through Pastor McConkey and his family, and we are grateful for their desire to involve their church in world missions right from the start.

A DIVINE APPOINTMENT AND ANSWERED PRAYER

While at a Missions Conference at Coastal Light Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina, we were able to participate in church-wide Saturday soul winning. The night before and morning of, I had specifically prayed and asked the Lord to allow us to see someone saved during this time. After about 45 minutes of door knocking with little response, we came to a corner house where we met Jessica. Jessica listened intently as we shared the Gospel with her and then sweetly bowed her head and prayed to receive Christ as Saviour. She shared with my wife and me that just moments before we knocked on her door, she and her children had prayed together, asking God for direction and help. How encouraging it was to see God answer both of our prayers!

We’d like to say a special thank you to the different churches that have partnered with us in this last month to reach Nicaraguans with the Gospel of Christ. We have been so humbled by the generosity and kindness of God’s people.
