I grew up in a pastor’s home and was saved at the age of 8! When I was 14, my family and I moved to Nicaragua as missionaries. We served there for 5 years. Through this time, the Lord called me to preach and gave me a love for ministry and missions. When I was 19, we moved back to the States, and soon after I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College. While in college, I met my wife! We married the summer after graduation (2021) and began serving at her home church under her father, Pastor David Hemphill. We served there for three years (2021-2024) as youth pastor and assistant.

Tiffany was saved at the age of 5. When she was 8, her family moved to Oswego, Illinois and her father began pastoring the Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 13, she surrendered her life to the Lord. After high school, she attended Hyles-Anderson College where she completed her degree in Secondary Education.

Our desire and plan is to partner with nationals to plant churches in Nicaragua. Initially, we will focus primarily on the southeastern region of Nicaragua in the departments of Chontales and the RACCS. These departments are places of great spiritual need with many communities ranging in size from a few hundred to many thousands that need Gospel-preaching churches. I had the wonderful privilege of living in Nicaragua as a missionary kid for five years and have seen the need of this region firsthand. By God’s grace and for His glory, we hope to saturate this part of the country with local, New Testament churches and capture it for Christ! As God allows, we hope to expand to other regions of Nicaragua and surrounding Central American countries as well in the future. In addition to church planting, we plan to start a Bible Institute in this region of Nicaragua with the purpose of training young men and women, from these same communities, for the Gospel ministry.

  • Jared and Tiffany Stalnaker Prayer Letter: Whirlwind of Travel and MeetingsGreetings from the deputation trail! The past two months have been a whirlwind of travel and meetings, and we’re grateful to report that our family is doing well. It has been a little bit since our last update—thank you for your patience and continued support. Going forward, we plan to send out prayer letters every other month. We hope you enjoy this brief report on our recent deputation travels.

During the months of March and April, we had the opportunity to present our ministry in twenty-one churches, including five Missions Conferences. Our travels took us from New Mexico and Arizona to North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and West Virginia. The busiest stretch came in mid-March, when we participated in three Missions Conferences back to back—two in North Carolina and one in Alabama. During this time, our family also experienced a bout of illness, but we are thankful that we didn’t have to cancel any meetings. While in Florida, we were able to visit one of our supporting churches and report—Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church, pastored by my uncle, Mark Stalnaker. It was a special blessing to be with them again, as this was the very first church where we presented our ministry when we began deputation back in August of last year.

In March, we were blessed with the unique opportunity to participate in a Round-Robin Missions Conference. While we had heard of these types of conferences before, this was our first time experiencing it firsthand. Over four days, we presented our ministry in five different churches, each one a joy to visit. Throughout the week, we were able to be involved in children’s classes, preach a school chapel, and go soul winning with one of the churches. By conference end, we were worn out, but in the best way. A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Jay Sheppard, his family, and Tri-City Baptist Church for inviting us and for their warm hospitality.

Thank you for your prayers and support. We are so thankful to partner with you to reach Nicaraguans with the Gospel of Christ.

    Till next time,

    The Stalnaker Family
