I grew up in a pastor’s home and was saved at the age of 8! When I was 14, my family and I moved to Nicaragua as missionaries. We served there for 5 years. Through this time, the Lord called me to preach and gave me a love for ministry and missions. When I was 19, we moved back to the States, and soon after I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College. While in college, I met my wife! We married the summer after graduation (2021) and began serving at her home church under her father, Pastor David Hemphill. We served there for three years (2021-2024) as youth pastor and assistant.

Tiffany was saved at the age of 5. When she was 8, her family moved to Oswego, Illinois and her father began pastoring the Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 13, she surrendered her life to the Lord. After high school, she attended Hyles-Anderson College where she completed her degree in Secondary Education.

Our desire and plan is to partner with nationals to plant churches in Nicaragua. Initially, we will focus primarily on the southeastern region of Nicaragua in the departments of Chontales and the RACCS. These departments are places of great spiritual need with many communities ranging in size from a few hundred to many thousands that need Gospel-preaching churches. I had the wonderful privilege of living in Nicaragua as a missionary kid for five years and have seen the need of this region firsthand. By God’s grace and for His glory, we hope to saturate this part of the country with local, New Testament churches and capture it for Christ! As God allows, we hope to expand to other regions of Nicaragua and surrounding Central American countries as well in the future. In addition to church planting, we plan to start a Bible Institute in this region of Nicaragua with the purpose of training young men and women, from these same communities, for the Gospel ministry.

  • Jared and Tiffany Stalnaker Prayer Letter: Busiest Month on Deputation to DateGreetings from the deputation trail! November has been our busiest month of deputation to date. During the first two weeks of November, we had the privilege to be a part of three Missions Conferences in three different states—Washington, California, and Michigan. After the conference in Michigan, we returned to California, where we finished out the rest of the month and presented our ministry in six other churches. We are very grateful for the kindness, hospitality, and generosity of God’s people.

    First Spanish Church

During our California trip, we had the privilege to be with Pastor Ignacio Lemus and Iglesia Bautista de la Bahía de Monterey in beautiful Marina, California. This was our first time on deputation to visit a church that spoke only Spanish. Pastor Lemus graciously allowed me to present our ministry and then preach. Needless to say, my wife got very little out of the message that night. A special thank you to Bro. Zach Holzgrafe and his wife Ana for connecting us with Pastor Lemus and for being such wonderful hosts.

    Family Reunion

One of the highlights of our trip to California was the opportunity to spend a weekend with my uncle and aunt, John and Evelyn Simmons, and their family. My Uncle John pastors the Mountain View Baptist Church in Modesto, California. We arrived on Saturday and went out soul winning with the church family. It was a blessing to see nearly half of the church family come out and participate in Saturday soul winning. On Sunday, I preached in both services and presented our burden for Nicaragua. We were surprised and delighted when some of our extended family from the Bay Area came and spent the day with us. My wife was also able to reconnect with Victoria, a young lady she had led to the Lord a few weeks prior. We were encouraged to hear that she had been attending church regularly.

    Merry Christmas,

Jared, Tiffany, Emerson, & Darcy Stalnaker
