  • Arturo and Ismerai Garza Prayer Letter: It Is a Great Joy to Greet You AgainBy the grace of God, we are well and continuing forward. The Lord has given us the strength to labor in His work during these two months. God is good, and although sometimes we would like to see greater results, we know that God does His work in His time and in His way. We are simply instruments in His hands, and He uses us according to His will. Even so, God always allows us to see people come to His feet. Thank you for your support in prayer and finances, allowing us to work together for God. The last few weeks, we have had the opportunity to keep busy in the work of the Lord. For us, it is the joy of our lives to serve our Saviour. We have been in the United States for a few weeks and in Mexico for other weeks, moving forward with some things in our ministry. We were able to be in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, with Pastor Buhrow; in North Chicago with Pastor Flores; and in Lexington, Kentucky, with Pastor Roblero. I had the opportunity to preach the Word of God in these churches, share our work in Mexico, and go out to win souls with each respective church. After this, we traveled to Mexico, and the Lord allowed us to do some things.

The second week of September, a dear sister of our church went to be with the Lord. Her family, which is a very large family, asked me to conduct her funeral and preach the Gospel. We held two services, one in the chapel of her viewing and another in the pantheon before burying her. Many family members and friends came, and I had the joy of sharing the glorious Gospel of our Saviour with a large number of people. God did the work in the place, and many received Christ Jesus as their Saviour and gave testimony. Another blessing I want to share is that we won Bro. Jozef, a young man, for Christ, and he obeyed the Lord in baptism. Glory to God for that decision. He has remained faithful in coming to church ever since, and now I am discipling him every Saturday. Please help us pray for this young man; he wants to follow Christ, and we want to win his family for Christ as well.

In October, we had our Family Conference. Pastor Raymundo Hernandez from Nuevo Leon, Mexico, was our special guest. He and his wife came to be a blessing by teaching and preaching; his wife also sang specials and taught the ladies. Thank God, all of our families came and were encouraged and taught in the Word of God. The theme was Guia a Los Tuyos en Su Senda (“Guide Your Own in HIS Path”) from Psalm 119:35. We ask for your prayers for our church in Mexico. We want to see families who love and follow the Lord. We continue to win souls for Christ every week and also continue teaching some brothers, sisters, and teenagers to share the Gospel.

We are almost at the end of the year, and we still have some plans for this year. Please continue praying for us, as we do for you, and may we continue seeing souls saved for His glory. Please pray that the Lord would continue to open doors for us to visit churches and raise support and that the Lord would continue to bless our ministry. We want to honor Him in everything we do. Thank you for your heart for missions.

    PRAYER REQUESTS

    • For God’s grace and wisdom
    • For the prayer request I shared in the last report about the need for a van for our ministry
    • For our health
    • For the Lord to continue to bless and provide for the supporting churches so that they continue supporting missions

    God bless you,

    Arturo & Ismerai Garza
