PRAYER LETTERS
LATEST
Throughout these past couple months of soul winning, we have witnessed to eight souls, with two accepting Christ. While I was soul winning in Preston, I met Inez, who was doing her shopping when I approached her with a Gospel tract. She stopped and asked me some questions regarding our church. She shared with me that she was from the Island of Montserrat. At the conclusion of our conversation, she accepted Christ as her Saviour! Hallelujah!Alongside our street soul-winning efforts, we have expanded Bible distribution through new avenues. During the university’s opening weekend, a group from our church shared the Gospel, handed out tracts, and offered Bibles with an encouraging response. Two more Saturdays are planned in November, with growing participation. Additionally, a church member who owns two hotels requested Bibles for guest rooms—twelve were provided, and two were taken within a week. Thanks to your giving, more Bibles are on the way.
Big Days
We experienced two significant Sundays in October. The first was Harvest Sunday on the 5th, which featured a delightful potluck meal following the service, locally known as a “Jacob’s Join” here in England. We were thrilled to welcome 110 attendees, including many visitors. It is truly humbling to see how God continues to grow His church. In fact, starting in August, we enjoyed a five-week stretch where our Sunday morning attendance consistently exceeded 100. Praise the Lord!
Our second special event was Missions-Emphasis Sunday, where we had the privilege of hosting Missionary Robert Tully. Twenty years ago, the Tully family was sent out from Parkview Baptist Church in London, pastored by my father, to begin church-planting work in Brazil. To date, they have established two churches and are preparing to launch a third. We were excited to honor Pastor Tully and his wife for their two decades of faithful service! He preached both services on that Sunday, and God worked greatly in our church family’s hearts to do more locally and globally. Already this year, our church has been able to take on one missionary, and we desire to see that increase.
Family Update
On September 14, Rachel and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary with a memorable overnight stay in a castle! The path God has led us on has truly been an adventure, and we are deeply thankful to share this journey together. This milestone also marked three years of missionary service; God has been so faithful. In early October, we had the joy of welcoming Rachel’s parents, Kevin and Merlene Strong, for their very first visit to England! We cherished every moment with them, including special outings to Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace. We are already looking forward to their next visit.
Solt Sibling Adventures
Andrew is eight months old now and very active. He crawls, pulls up on furniture, grabs everything in sight, and says “Dada.” During our Harvest Sunday service, we joyfully dedicated Andrew to the Lord! Ruby is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan! Most of the day is spent playing with her train collection. She was really excited when she got to experience “A Day Out with Thomas” at the East Lancashire Railway Station. Riding a real Thomas the Tank Engine and participating in Thomas-themed activities made for a very memorable day!
