My parents Dave and Marybeth Solt landed in England in the fall of 1996, and a few months later I was born. At the age of four, I recognized my sin nature, and asked God for salvation…a few years later I followed Christ’s example through baptism. While growing up, I was privileged to join in multiple ministries with my parents from church planting to teen activities and children’s programs.

After graduating high school, I enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College with the goal of developing a media career. It was during the missions conference my freshman year, God spoke to me, and revealed His perfect plan for my life. Matthew 14:17-19 says, “…We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me…” Christ’s response to Andrew turned my plans upside down. Following His lead, I surrendered my life to him, changed my college major to missions, and began the path to serve Him full time in the mission field.

Rachel was born and raised in the beautiful state of Montana. At the age of seventeen, after hearing her youth pastor teach a lesson on Hell in Sunday School, Rachel got her salvation settled. She surrendered her life to the Lord in 2014 at a summer teen camp while hearing a sermon on the will of God. It was also the same year that she felt God leading her to attend Hyles-Anderson College.

God brought us together during our first semester of college, and a few months after graduation we got married. Together with Rachel, I have served in the bus ministry of FBC as a captain, CDL trainer, and junior church superintendent leading up to deputation. In the fall of 2021, we visited England together for the first time as a family, and God solidified His calling on our lives to return as full-time missionaries.

Upon returning to England, we will be serving at my father’s church in Preston, England, a city with a surrounding population of over 200,000 people. Lord willing, we plan on building a children’s program and teen department, along with participating in outreach, discipleship, media efforts, and establishing a Bible institute. We are excited about and looking forward to the new opportunities God has in store for us once we have adjusted to being on the mission field as a family.

  • Daniel and Rachel Solt Prayer Letter: Grateful HeartsOur hearts are grateful for what God has done throughout this past year! Thank you, faithful friends, for your communication in prayers, notes, gifts, emails, and financial support. You are an encouragement and an essential part of our ministry for Him! All praise to Him!

    Meetings in November and December

Before reuniting with my family in Montana, I had the honor of attending two very special Missions Conferences. The first was at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and the second was at Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Both churches showed us such kindness that my car was overflowing with their generosity. A special highlight was reuniting with Bro. Justin Williams and his family, former missionaries to England, who are now serving in West Virginia.

On conclusion of these conferences, I made my way to Chicago to drop off the last of our belongings at a shipping terminal, which have now arrived in England. Thank you especially to those who gave for this need. Returning back to Montana, our family enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving together. Also on that day, we were able to present our ministry virtually to Faith Baptist Church in Berne, Indiana, during their Thanksgiving service. What a privilege and joy it was!

In December, we were able to drive to some nearby cities in Idaho for meetings. We were able to reconnect with Cornerstone Baptist Church, a wonderful supporting church in Hayden. And then our last meeting of deputation was with Treasure Valley Baptist Church in Meridian. We were so blessed by their hospitality.

    Soul Report

During these final two months of 2024, we had the opportunity to share the Gospel with six individuals, and five of them accepted Christ as their Saviour. On an unusually warm November day in Michigan, I met Comisha while door knocking. She was interested and allowed me to present the Gospel to her. At the end, she said, “I understand now why Jesus came.” She then sweetly accepted Christ as her Saviour. Hallelujah!

    Family Update

Praise the Lord! Many of you have been praying for Rachel and her pregnancy. Since November, the doctors have given us more positive updates, and the level of risk has decreased. Now we are patiently waiting for our little one to bless us with his presence. Another answer to prayer is that Rachel’s U.K. visa has arrived! This is one less step between us and England. We ended the year by being involved and serving with churches here in Montana as we celebrated the birth of our Saviour. We are excited about what is to come. Our target date of departure to England is April 10, Lord willing, if all goes well with Andrew’s arrival and paperwork. Thank you for joining us on this journey of faith. We are praying for you as you serve in your corner of the world.

    Ruby’s Adventures

December is a special month, as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour . . . and Ruby’s birthday! She started off her birthday playing at an indoor playground with Daddy and then ended with a birthday party at Grandma and Papa’s house!

    Prayer Requests

    1. Opportunities to present the Gospel in Montana
    2. Safe arrive of Andrew (due beginning of March)
    3. Quick processing of Andrew’s paperwork after birth
    4. Clarity for God’s will on our housing in England

    May our lives glorify Him,

Daniel, Rachel, Ruby, & Andrew Solt
