God continues to bless our efforts. Praise the Lord for 1,043 precious souls trusting Christ as their Saviour in January and February!
One of the areas we are growing in is our Sunday school program. We recently divided our larger Sunday school classes and added several new classes and Sunday school teachers.
Another great blessing lately is that the number of adults coming to visitation on Saturdays has almost doubled.
One of the exciting things about being in the Philippines is the plethora of soul-winning and evangelism opportunities. A foreman of a large construction crew recently asked if I could come and hold devotions with the workers once a week. There is just SO much to do here!
Our jeepney workers love to bring me with them on their routes, and I’m always overwhelmed with the people who are anxious to hear the Gospel. We always seem to get back to church later than we planned because we need to talk to “just one more person.”
We had a wonderful Sweetheart Couples’ Banquet, which culminated with a wedding-vow renewal service. The Lord has blessed us with many faithful couples and families, and our annual banquet is always a special time for them.
Our new work in another city continues to grow with new converts, soul winners, lay workers and exciting services. They also have a good music program. What a joy it is to see a new work start from scratch and become a vibrant church family and an effective influence for God in the community.
Please pray for Grace, a young lady who is graduating from our Bible college this May. She has given her life to God for full-time service, but her parents are against her being in full-time service. Please pray that God would change their hearts and that Grace would have the wisdom and fortitude to stick to God’s will for her life.
An update on our building program. We are still working on our building permit. There have been MANY hoops to jump through, and we are still working on getting it. Please pray that we will be able to break ground soon.
Thank you all so much for your sacrifice to keep us in this white harvest field.
Yours for souls,
Courtney & Ester Godsoe
