November and December were exciting months to be in God’s service. I thank God for the people in our church who love to share the Gospel. We are thankful for 2,651 people professing faith in Christ during the months of November and December. This includes the 475 souls saved on November 1 during our Soul-Winning Marathon on All Saints Day (we call it “All Tracts Day”), the 588 souls won in our public-school ministry, and the 1,588 saved during the personal soul winning of our people. I surprised several of our people by giving a nice soul-winning New Testament to each person who led 20 or more people to the Lord. They were thrilled to receive them.
We had a wonderful Harvest Banquet after our annual Harvest Campaign. Our people dressed up as farmers, and we had a contest to see who had the most authentic costume. The man who won even brought a large plow into the auditorium.
Before we observe the Lord’s Supper, I spend a little time teaching on what it means and the requirements for partaking in it, which, of course, include being saved and baptized. I then ask if there is anyone who would like to be baptized so they can participate. During the last Lord’s Supper, two teenage girls, whom one of our ladies had led to the Lord three days prior (Thursday), wanted to be baptized. After baptizing them and returning to the pulpit, another young lady wanted to be baptized. After I baptized her and returned to the pulpit, her mother asked to be baptized, so I went back and baptized her as well. It was a wonderful service, and I was reminded of what a joy it is and how exciting it is to serve the Lord!
We had an excellent Christmas cantata and followed it with a warm Christmas fellowship and get-together. It’s always one of the special events of the year for our church family.
The year 2024 was a productive one, with a total of 8,648 professions of faith in Christ. It’s great being in a country that has limitless opportunities to share the Gospel to people with open hearts. Our church had a special time as we celebrated New Year’s Eve and prayed in the New Year together. Some of the highlights of 2024 were our Youth Revival, with Pastor Brian Johnston preaching. He also visited the city jail with us and preached the Gospel to the inmates. It was also a blessing to have guest speakers, Missionary Marty Stalnaker, Pastor Ken Anderson, and Evangelist Oliver Araiza speak at our church.
We were thrilled to purchase an almost new church vehicle. A special thanks goes out to all who helped us with that. It’s getting a lot of use, and it is bringing many folks to church.
One of the great joys of starting this church almost 20 years ago and continuing on is seeing the blessings of longevity. Along with people from our ministry who are pastoring and serving in different capacities in the Philippines and as foreign missionaries is the blessing of young people and children growing up in our church and having families of their own, with babies, toddlers, and children everywhere. What a tremendous joy it is!
Thank you all so much. We are grateful beyond words for your love, prayers, and financial sacrifice to keep us in this great harvest.
Yours for souls,
Courtney & Ester Godsoe[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
