“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” (John 15:8) I am glad to report that it has been a fruitful (and busy) time as we approach the end of another year.
So far this year, we have recorded 7,534 saved, 493 public professions of faith in our services, and 176 baptisms. We thank the Lord that we live in a place where we have freedom of religion, and many are open to hearing the Gospel. I have been seeing some fruit on my Saturday soul winning, including a man named Save, who got saved, and a family where we have seen a mother and teen daughter saved and baptized. On Saturdays, I am also discipling a 12-year-old boy named Urish; his family keeps taking him to the Catholic cathedral, but he has a desire to know God’s Word. Please pray that his family would be saved.
Recently, we had the funeral of Bro. Lito Amorin, a long-time member. He had been suffering the effects of a severe stroke for 10 years, but now he is enjoying walking the streets of Glory! His wife Helen is a dedicated soul winner. While she was filing Lito’s death certificate at the city hall, she witnessed and comforted those who were there filing their loved ones’ certificates at the same time. Some have been saved and have visited IBC.
Also recently, Theo and Jeciel Amante welcomed their first child Dominic on November 3 after a 28-hour labor that ended with a C-section delivery. Thankfully, everyone is doing well, and we are thankful for God’s goodness to them and us.
Our Bible college continues to be busy training those called into ministry. We enjoyed the visit of Pastor and Mrs. Gordon Alley from Cornerstone Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado. They were able to be involved for a few days, teaching, preaching, and seeing souls saved as they worked alongside our people.
During Thanksgiving, I was able to travel to the island south of us to be with my daughter’s family, Mike and Ruth Morrissey and their six children. They started Truth Baptist Church of Dapitan over six years ago, and God has blessed their labors. I was even able to hold their youngest child Timothy for the first time. I have much to give thanks for this year.
May all of you who pray for and give to our ministry enjoy a very blessed Christmas and a good start to a New Year. We have many things lined up for the Christmas season, so your prayers for us would be much appreciated.
Thankful to be busy in the ministry,
Scott Christiansen
