Caleb and Emily Christiansen Prayer Letter: New Arrival! We are thrilled to announce the birth of Ryan Andrew Christiansen on October 7, weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces. Something that I keep coming back to is how a few months ago, due to the pregnancy complications, we were not sure if Ryan could go full-term or how it would affect Emily. Then so many of you prayed for us. The complications disappeared, we were able to go full-term, and we ended up having a normal delivery.

We just went to a church this last Sunday that does not support us, but when we walked in, they told us that they were praying for us and for Ryan. It was so cool that they got to see what they were praying for, and we got to meet a church that we didn’t even know was praying for us. I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone who prayed. I may not know all who prayed, but I want to say thank you so much. Emily is doing well, and Ryan is growing like a weed.

Please pray, as we are simultaneously having our visa papers renewed in Nigeria and working on getting Ryan’s entry visa approved Stateside. There is an unreal amount of paperwork involved in getting a new family member onto the field. We submitted Ryan’s passport application this week. Once we have that in hand, we can apply for his entrance visa into Nigeria. Then I will have to make a trip to Washington, D.C., to submit his paperwork personally at the embassy. Please pray that all of our papers will be approved in time for us to get back to Nigeria in early January. Our tickets are for January 5. Lydia almost weekly asks, “Can we go back to Nigeria now?” We always have to say, “Not yet, but we’re working on it.” Please pray as well for all of the other preparations that we need to make as we work to head back to the field to which God has called us.

That all the world may know,

Caleb Christiansen
