“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
We were sent out of Namibia by the government on August 9, 2024, leaving part of our heart there. Our family has moved four times since then and trust that July was the last move. We would like to thank all of you who have been so faithful to pray for and financially support us, the church, and the people/souls of Namibia.
We had asked prayer for our son Jamie to receive his citizenship. God saw us through the AI battle, and as of the end of August, Jamie is officially a U.S. citizen! Praise the Lord!
I asked for prayer concerning my right hip, as I injured it moving into our mobile home. X-rays found an old fracture of my pelvic bone. I fell in Namibia when I was robbed, but the doctor did not order an x-ray. Please continue to pray for my hip. It is now to the point where I cannot sit through the entire church service again; I must stand up to ease the pain.
I am continually in contact with the church in Namibia, Bible Baptist Church of Windhoek. Please pray for Justino as he leads the church, for Tymore who assists him, and for the elders to make wise decisions.
I have been asking the Lord for His will, as He always has a reason or purpose for changes. I have been active in our home church, Berean Baptist Church of Adrian, Michigan, since coming home. The Lord used me while out soul winning to lead four men to Christ at the end of summer/beginning of fall.
The church in Namibia invited me to preach for the church anniversary, and the embassy said I needed a temporary work permit, so the church turned in all of the paperwork. June, July, and August were spent going back and forth with what they asked, but it was rejected.
I believe the Lord would have me to continue to work with the church in Namibia to train the young men from this side and not seek another field of service. Therefore, I am semi-retiring. I was licensed to preach in 1995, was ordained to preach in 1998, and went to the field in 2000. The Lord walked by my side through it all. He is ever-present and forever faithful!
